Ovechkin is an absolute legend for this

Tonight, as the Washington Capitals played the Chicago Blackhawks we saw NHL history. Alex Ovechkin scoring not 1 but 2 goals officially tied Wayne Gretzky’s all time goals record of 894. All Ovechkin needed was a hat trick to pass him for the record and with Chicago pulling their goalie with 2 minutes to go, Ovechkin had his chance. However, he wanted nothing to do with an empty net goal telling his head coach Carbery that he didn’t want to be on the ice. This was a fantastic game and a fantastic night to be a hockey fan as we are truly witnessing a potentially once in a lifetime record being hit. I cover it all more in todays NHL hockey video!

  1. Glad he didn't take the easy road on this one, anytime it comes to records being broken, I wouldn't want any fucking "gimme's" either. Well done. Class act 👏

  2. I wonder if he'll pull a Barry Sanders and retire. I mean I guess to do that you would have had to quit or retire before you tied the record so I guess that's not really in his mind

  3. Why does the NHL have its head up its ass and not count the old world hockey league goals?
A goal in professional hockey is a goal.
That said Gordy still is way ahead of the two bums gretsky and putin’s pet boy.

  4. The difference between these two is that gretzky didn't have anyone to chase at the end. He was just scoring to score at that point. He was number one in everything already. Also both these guys are trump/putin loving pieces of shit, so how about we just ignore them.

  5. Its not that big a deal to be honest. If Gretsky only focus on goals Ovi would be no where near him. But Gretzky set people up more than he score which is why no one will ever touch his points record. He's more than a thousand points ahead of ovi with the same amount of games played. And Gretzky didnt have to ever stop a game to do this nonsense like ovi.

  6. I would have endorsed it only because it would have been a hat trick. Because its a legendary nobody would beat the NHL goals leader with a hat trick. But the class.

  7. yeah yeah… But you are completely ignoring the colossal difference in TOI between Gretzky and Ovi. Kudos to Ovi, great achievement! BUT! Gretzky reached his record in 3200 min of ice time (TOI) versus Ovi's 30,000+. Apples and oranges. And so NO, the Great One remains the Great One!

  8. this is wild. i remember when he and Sid the Kid and Lebron James all turned pro at about the same time, and with Tiger Woods dominating, the sports world was saying this was one of the best time in sports history to witness all these future GOATS kind of starting at the same time.

  9. Putins propaganda puppet supporting aggressive warfare still being allowed to play is sickening
