The Montreal Canadiens own picks 16 and 17 overall in the NHL entry draft later this summer. Shaun Starr and Marco D’Amico walk you through the options for the Habs and whether they think it’s better to use the picks or trade the picks? Also, how valueable are the Habs two first round draft picks?

Overall, this years draft quality is not great, i think we can all agree on that but the Habs are drafting 16 and 17 in the first round, and 9 and 17 in the second round. With 4 picks, its realistic to find one player who can outperform his ranking. Its happens every single year. Also, i am relieved that they are picking where they are in the first round. In my personal rankings, there is a clear #1, #2, then its pretty close from #3 to #6, then #7 to #11, then #12 to #20 and then there a pretty big drop.
Pick big bruising guys with character and an ability to move to either 3rd or 4th lines or possibly move up to 2 if needed.
See you in a week off to the D.R Sunday
What do you guys think of Carter Bear, do you think he would be a good pick if available
I think after next season is important, what will they do with Laine. I personally don't think they'll sign him
4:18 THEY ARE STILL REBUILDING!!! The goal is a team that is a Stanley Cup contender year after year.
Not really, it's the offseason and you need something to talk about. Hugo has a plan, they will not deviate from.
Would like them to pick up Carbonneau if possible. If for nothing else, than the pedigree.
Great job Shaun and Marco!
