We went from 3-0 Shutout on home ice by the Canucks, to Leafs beating the Sens, to this… What a roller coaster-
I don’t think Matthews is cut out to lead the Leafs to success. He’s a luxury player, his level of compete and desire appears to be seriously lacking when it matters the most. The same as Marner. I think the Leafs need some serious change in the player department. Have the people in power got the guts to do what’s needed?

Ive been so patiently waiting to see this lol. I went from such a huge fan and follower of Steve Dangle and SDPN but after the way he carried himself after four nations faceoff with his whole spiel about America that I was instantly turned away by him. And overnight in mere minutes I have become the one roots for every horrible moment you have to suffer through with your maple leafs lol god I love this. Watch your calories bud I wouldn’t want you dropping from a heart attack no time soon ya know I live to watch your misery so don’t go dying on me lol

I'm going to sound like either a blithering fool or Nostradamus by the end of this series. I'm a lifelong lightning fan, so I know that sometimes for a core group of players to be ignited they have to be absolutely humiliated. I know this leafs core has a "humiliation kink" but that was about as bad as it could possibly get. But Craig Berube happens to be a coach that has proven he can take moments like that and mine the opportunity to be found in them. So in my personal head canon, this is the moment that the Leafs suffer their last humiliation and turn it around to slay the dragon and win the Cup. Or I'm an idiot. Let's see what happens. Because all I know is if they rebound from that embarrassment and win the series, they're going to win the cup.
