The New Jersey Devils Arena Production Crew was on fire during the game against the New York Rangers on 12/23/24.
During the 3rd Period of the beatdown, the NJ Devils Production Crew showed a video of moronic NY Rangers fans cheering at their Draft Party at MSG when the Devils selected Jack Hughes #1 Overall in the 2019 Draft. Their fanbase had delusionally convinced themselves at the time that Kaapo Kaako was the better player. So they cheered when the Devils picked Jack Hughes at #1, meaning they could get Kaako at #2.
The Production Team then showed Jack Hughes’ Career Stats against the Rangers on the scoreboard to which Jack smiled at.
What a classic moment!

I knew on draft day we were getting Jack I had this feeling of Shero and Fitzgerald’s connections, and chemistry on top of merit was very ideal for Jack. Jack is truly finding his pre-prime stardom

Thank you, it’s absolutely hysterical that this video was posted. This is a perfect example of how Devils fans hate the Rangers more than they love the Devils. For this is the only reason 95% of you became Devils fans in the first place. Wow, seeing your team win (against any other team than the Rangers) must feel so empty.
Though not as hysterical as Trevor Connors obsessive hatred for the Rangers. No other NHL organization would lower themselves to higher someone like Trevor Connors to be there reporter. Obviously because normal teams care more about professionalism than showing constant hatred towards one single rival.
Enjoy the retool while it lasts. I know it’s hard it is to do because of the collective hatred for the Rangers, but try to put yourself in the shoes of a Rangers fan. The Rangers didn’t draft Kakko over Hughes. The Rangers had no chance of drafting Hughes unless the Devils drafted Kakko instead. This is why Rangers fans find this video to be hysterical. There’s absolutely no insult to the Rangers and all that’s being shown is the Devils Organization (unreciprocal by the Rangers Organization) hate filled fan’s savoring the Rangers defeat more than the Devils victory. I am so blessed to not be like any of you. Devils are the perfect name of the team you pretend to root for.

Both Hughes and Kakko are having the last laugh now. Rangers are missing the playoffs and could be in rebuild mode now. Kakko got a 2nd chance in Seattle where in a few years could be a very good team. And for Hughes he is hurt but will be back, meanwhile the team is making the playoffs and playing well.
