This shouldn't come as a surprise to literally any Leafs fans. After the losses to Montreal & Columbus, it should've been very clear that Matthews & Marner do not deserve the amount they're getting paid. Florida is a defensive juggernaut when they get going, except good players and good teams find ways to break through that, and capitalize on mistakes. The leafs are not a good team, and lack good postseason players.

I really appreciate you pointing out that Florida isn’t getting credit during the collapse. Same thing happened in 2021 with the Jets/Oilers series where WPG swept Edmonton (behind in 2-3 of the 4 games) and yet the whole conversation was “Edmonton blew it” and not “Damn the Jets stuck with em and stayed in the fight, gutsy sweep”
