The Caps lost because their goaltending was average. You don't win the cup with a goalie that lets in goals that should be stopped.

The fact that a goal can be denied because someone was .5 second offside 15 seconds before and the puck was below the goal line then back the point is just ridiculous. Theres no advantage there.

How's PK doing? Funny Story: I live in the Eastern European Timezone which is 7 hours ahead. I woke up around 3:30 to catch some of the game on Gamecast and went back to sleep after the 2nd Cap goal was overturned. I don't remember doing it, but I must have checked the score in my sleep bc it became part of a dream/nightmare in which the canes lost 3-1 and would need to win it at home in Game 6. In the dream, I even checked the team stats. Ha. I didn't realize it until I was laying in bed around 6 or so scrolling through Facebook.

Knew the Caps had absolutely no chance after that game 2 loss. That was some of the slowest, lamest hockey I’ve seen from a playoff team in a long time. Watching teams like the Oilers and Panthers play and then comparing it to that…. Ugly.
