The Canucks named Adam Foote as the 22nd head coach in franchise history on Wednesday. Foote has been an assistant with Vancouver since January of 2023. Why did the Canucks choose Adam Foote as the head coach? Should the Canucks feel upset with how the Rick Tocchet situation played out? TSN Canucks reporter Farhan Lalji joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss.

It's an obvious, transparent and pathetic attempt to keep Hughes. It won't work.
It’s obvious why Adam Foote is the guy for three reasons. 1) Aquilini can’t afford a coach with a credible record. 2) Management needs to keep Hughes happy. 3) No head coach in their right mind wants to coach for such a volatile organization.
I do not know much about Adam Foote as an individual but it seems crazy to me that they hired him while his son is part of the accused of a high-profile sexual assault case which will have huge implications on the hockey world, and in addition that Adam Foote was on the Colorado Avalanche during the Steve Moore situation. If I were to choose the coaching staff and they all agreed my picks would be: Head Coach – Kevin Bieksa, Assistant Coaches: Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin, Goaltender Coach: Roberto Luongo!
Bill Laforge turned them down.
>hughes said the best coach hes had
>hes turned out the dcore to be elite
>manny even said he doesnt think he has enough experience to do well at the nhl level
>no better coach would take the job
JR likes Foote. Strong mind is needed on Canucks. I hope Adam gives Bieksa a chance. We might win a cup before Toronto. Wake up Toronto C man.
Farhan you're are a scum for asking Foote that question!
Quinn had 0 effect. Have some proof and have an original thought… Few more goals? This guy is a professional reporter? Rick was never going to Seattle, he's a professional and entertained the offer like he should. This guy knows nothing.
cool vanity filter Farhan lol..
