The Leafs have forgone a very good 3rd and 4th line and top end D-core to pay the core four. SO if the core four can't carry the team the Leafs can't win in the playoffs. It has been proven again and again and again and again and again. IT IS FACT. The core four ⛳🏌♂doesn't work. The core fore has never worked. It is a failed model. BLOW IT UP!!!!

The guy wearing the C has no heart, Mitch Marner plays playoff hockey like it’s a beer league, Willy Nylander needs to hit the weight room, and Tavares is a turtle. You guys should be thanking the Panthers because now you can finally move on from that tragic core.

Let Marner walk. Give Tavares $5.5m x 3. Re-sign Knies $9m x 7, offer Sam Bennett $7m x 5. Take whatever is left plus the cap increase and see what can be done. Take a run at McDavidn the following year

Matthews is a top 3 centre in the show. Worst top 5. I have faith in him coming good but that’s unacceptable. I love him and Mitch- but for whatever reason the playoff jam against the best isn’t there.

Life long Leafs fan, that last game I just feel sorry for those guys. It’s like they were beaten up by a bully and I don’t know if it’s in them to stand up and go down swinging to get some semblance of self respect.

I have an interesting question based on my assumption that it is a culture problem:
Which of the Leafs would look really good if they were actually playing on the Panthers team, ie. in a winning, driven culture?
Personally, I think Matthews would be good but not Marner.
This was put in place by Scamahan and Dubious who gave the big dough to these guys before they had earned anything. Entitled culture. When Marner compared the Leafs to gods, he was right, but he got it backwards – they need to be dogs, not gods.
The only way the leafs ever get better is if Mathew’s and Marner hightail it out of town. I would love to see them go to Utah.
