  1. Ken Holland was the Oilers' GM from 2019-2024, which includes 3 instances in which the Oilers eliminated the Kings.

  2. Tockey Hockey making his 3rd tour of duty with the Flyers. My family and I have been fans of his since the early days with the Flyers, so I for one am happy for him and the orginization as a whole. Wasn't keen on Torts getting the job from day 1, but it seems like the originization is trying to get back to what was familiar with us older fans. I'd like to have the league go back to the Tocchet style of play and have more Gordie Howe Hattricks haha

  3. I was trying to listen to your commentary, but I was distracted by that eye piercing uniform – yikes. Has any other franchise had more logos and color schemes and fewer Cups?

  4. It’s awesome that Laval and Rochester are playing each other in the AHL playoffs. As an Upstate New Yorker, I see lots of Sabres, Habs, Rangers and Bruins fans. Kind of weird being an Oilers fan up here, my wife grew up near Edmonton and played hockey so that’s why we root for them, lol.

  5. Jesper Boqvist not being a regular on the roster is criminal. He’s such an underrated 3/4th liner. I wish NJ would get him back

  6. Die hard Philly fan here, my guess is 30-45-7 for next year. Tocchet is more torts. They needed a couch for young guys.

  7. THG: NHL players are the best of the best, yet organizations think they need a tyrant as a coach. Why? I think the players must be so dedicated to have made the NHL that a Torts isn’t needed

  8. I watched a two-year-old videos of yours when Rick Tocchet got hired by the Canucks and everything you said was going to happened happened.

  9. Holland back as a GM is great news for aging fringe players trying to get one last good payday.

  10. KH wanted to go to a team where it’s like retirement. No snow, little bit of rain. And everyone lives in Manhattan Beach or Hermosa. So yeah, he’ll be more relaxed here.

  11. This coaching decision for the Flyers was made by their luxury box owners who want more wins now along with ANOTHER alumni and is completely against the long term plan. I have a feeling they heard other teams wanted him so they said let's go do it.

I can't stand this decision. I hope I'm wrong. But this makes no sense based on why they fired Tortarella and what we saw on the ice with Shaw.

  12. The Canucks don't need to get better to make the playoffs and win a round or two. They need to get healthier. Their three best forwards, their two best defencemen, and their best goalie all spend time on the IR list last year. How many teams can make that claim? Even Pettersson was starting to play well before his injury.

  13. Rooting for Avs rockstar legend Footer to have good success as a head coach. I’m happy for him, getting this opportunity!

  14. Just saw a reddit post in the Sens reddit saying they saw Travis Green in Vancouver last week. Hopefully discussing Quinn Hughes. If we get him next year I'm calling our once a decade third round push next playoffs. Literally the piece we're missing even though there is no way we could afford him.

  15. I honestly haven't liked a Vancouver coach since Bruce Boudreau, but with how well he did and what a great media personality he had I think I'm probably biased lol. I wish Foote the best of luck and just hope we can get into the Playoffs next year

  16. Not blaming Tocchet for our failure of a season but what he was doing clearly wasn’t having a positive effect I didn’t like when he got the jack adams it felt like he only got it because our expectations were blown out the water last year

  17. The following are facts only:
Paul Holmgren, Terry Murray, Bill Barber, John Stevens, and Craig Berube are all former Philadelphia Flyers who later coached the Flyers. During each's tenure as head coach of the Flyers, none of them won the Stanley Cup with this organization. Only one (Murray) even made it to the Finals as Flyers' head coach (in 97). The team didn't even win a single game that series.

    The following are also facts:
Bobby Clarke, Paul Holmgren, Ron Hextall, and Daniel Briere are all former Flyers' players who went on to become GM of the Flyers. During each's tenure as Flyers GM, none of them won a Cup as the General Manager of this team.

It has been said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results.

  18. Tocchet’s lack of success with previous teams, particularly ruining the Canuck’s, it’s hard to believe he gets another chance.
