How can someone say he turned his back on them? the guy didnt want to get traded got traded anyway and then told teh team he wouldnt sign long term, it didnt refuse to dress. A player isnt required or expected to sign long term with a team they were traded to against there will in the last year of their contract.
I don't think he turned his back on the team more or less didn't wanna sign long term, think he was prob so surprised on the initial trade that wasn't until he got to Carolina he even thought about what other teams he would play for. Like the previous comment he didn't refuse to play or suit up he just didn't want to sign long term with them so they traded him. People are thinking way too much into this. Think the real ? Is why did Colorado trade him?
I have been saying this sense the playoffs started. Thats the final I want to see. I want Carolina to beat Dallas so bad!
What is wrong with everyone? "Ultimate Revenge", Revenge for what? Offering a guy 12million a year? When he says he isn't staying no matter what taking the time to find him a city that he wanted to be in? Or for telling a club, "hey, this isn't a good fit for me, I don't want to stay, ill sign somewher and let you move me so you don't get screwed". I just feel like there's nothing on either side to be pissy about.
This guy doesn't like Rantanen. It's ok, but saying he betrayed or turned his back on Carolina is a stretch
