Having faith in the Leafs is the literal definition of Insanity I stopped watching regular season games and passionately cheering for them years ago. I just come in yearly see them fail have a good laugh then leave now cause thats the only time they deserve from me. Wasted enough of my time already when I was younger. It's time for the fans to start boycotting this team and having the Arena be empty with barely any sales It's the only way to make any change happen cause it doesn't matter what players play for the team lol the team is cursed. Stop giving this Franchise your Money
Wall is horrible… the thing with wall is he cannot handle the puck, which should be a main thing for a goalie in this modern NHL. He puts too much pressure on his defence on dumps. He’s not very good goalie and it seems like his team has no confidence in him
I have said that if the leafs ever make a cup final that I would fly from Calgary to Toronto for a finals game and put it all on my credit card. Thank goodness I don’t have to worry about that with this core
I remember Steve racing around his office screaming and hollering when the Leafs won the rights to draft Mathews. We were kids, then. I can't believe Leafs fans were ever that happy. It wasn't if the Leafs were going to win a Cup, but how many? Where did this all go wrong?
I empathize with the fans that bought those tickets.
But i do think it's a bit harsh to blame the players because they play in the most expensive hockey market. it's not like the Leafs get a bigger cap for that.
Good news though: the peoplem that drove 7 hours got home 15 minutes earlier than expected. Like 4:45 am
A few minutes in I saw Bennett with the puck on the boards in the Leafs zone. This is the guy that elbowed your number one goalie in the head and knocked him out of the series. Both Marner and Matthews skate right by with half efforts at swatting the puck. Matthews is what, 6'3 and 220lbs, doesn't even lay a check. Say what you want about Captains, etc., but Marchand, Ovy, Benn, Stone and most players playing in team first cultures (Florida, Tampa, Boston, Edmonton, Vegas, Dallas and other perennial winners) would have DEMOLISHED the guy. I turned the game off soon after that
You still got a chance or gamble, stolarz in game 6 could be a momentum swing game changer or extremely big liability because panthers know his strengths and weaknesses during practice and cause thst puck to the helmet concussion, he may not be 100 percent.
The panthers are a team of destiny and play with heart. No shame there.
Also wasnt the elbow. The human elbow couldn't have dispersed more kinetic energy to the goalies head than the 100kph puck can like s bullet.
Could also be stolarz purposely refusing to face his former team for whatever reason or liability.
Its sad that the only person who looked like they were ready to fight was Murray. Keep Knies, let the rest walk. He seems like the only one who wants to be there.
