the captain's C is the kiss of death on this team. Adam Fox is not the Captain. He's too passive and doesn't get the team going or carry the team on his shoulders when they need someone to make something happen. He does not set the tone or the example. JT Miller would not be my choice, he's moody and throws temper tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants and Trochek is maybe the only one close enough. None of them are what I imagine as real captain material. Better than 4 A's running around doing nothing though.
My choice would be JT absolutely. He is the closest to a Messier-like leader in that room. The BS that he is a troublemaker is overhyped garbage. Listen to guys that have played with him, like Brian Boyle, & that myth is dispelled. A real leader speaks up & is a coaches adjunct, holding everyone accountable, including himself. Jim Rutherford expressed major respect for JT. As for Sullivan I think he will choose between JT & Kreider(if he's not traded), but I don't think Kreider wants the job. Fox? no way.

Who'd want to be the captain after the mistreatment Trouba got last year? GM Pulled the rug out from the guy, but left him wearing the C for months.
As for Laffy – should be traded. Lack of backcheck plus soft uncaring play is inexcusable.
