Jets were dominant in the first two periods but got goalie'd. That said, one goal. If I recall the shots were a lot closer by the end of the game. Yeah Helly let in three but one goal for? AGAINST JAKE OETTINGER?! The fans at the AAC are having the time of their lives chanting "OTTER'S BETTER" good God I HOPE they influence Team USA to play him over Hellebuyck at the Olympics. Cake walk for Canada. One nice post season and the memes about how good he is are coming out. Maybe we're just seeing the ceiling of Arniel's coaching ability or the players ability, I don't know. Funny that this team once swept the Oilers and would be road warriors some years.
Apathetic at this point. I didn't even watch the last few minutes of the game, it wasn't worth it.
The urgency felt like it was game 42 of the regular season. It's over. I DON'T believe, sorry Chrissy Troy. That game seven was one of the most fun experiences watching this team but it was a temporary distraction from how mid the Jets play when it matters.
Oh and another bullshit penalty against with the non follow-through call. At this point I'm convinced it's rigged. No Marchment sussy, that "good goal" in game two, the not a follow-through call in this game. It's over.
The stars traded for Granlund on Feb 1, Chevy waited until Trade deadline day to do anything… Out managed AGAIN, definition of insanity, continue to do the same thing and expect different results
One more comment – super late to the Landing Strip party but I will miss these like crazy once the Jets are out!!! I think I started listening to the initial pod last year when I was going to the office. Now I'm WFH again at a new spot but I'm making this part of my routine while working next season. Keep up the great work boys. 500 and counting!
Looks like Chevy and Co. are going have to do somethings they have never done before this summer…work and make difficult decisions. The fact this team’s top two centers were both drafted in 2011 is absolutely mind boggling. Literally haven’t drafted a second line center is 13 years.
But I live in reality and TSNE will think this year was great and bring back the entire team. Which is looking like the 2nd wildcard team the pundits said they were at the start of the year. Which means there’s a decent chance they miss the playoffs next year if Ehlers walks.
End of rant.
It could be worse. Vancouver just hired Foote who’s kid in on trial. Actually that would totally be a TSNE move.
