Look at the Bruins as an example, two different coaches on the Jack Adams with two different goalies, because the structure was in place.
I want nothing to do with Tocchet, there are much better options for the Flyers given where they are in building the team. Also, Jake O'Brien's 98 points in the OHL is more impressive than the 98 points Desnoyers got in the Q. Great vision and shot, and No Charlie, Jake O'Brien does not just shoot at empty nets! He is a sniper.
Hagens is my number 1 for reasonably possible prospects at 6. I would even potentially trade up for him if possible. I wouldn’t be excited about selecting Desnoyers and intrigued with an O’Brian selection.
My view is right on line with charlie at the end, I want them to be bad bc they need another top 6 pick. I’m hopefully they could move up but they need more high end talent especially when this draft is clearly a let’s hope someone hits
In my opinion I havent seen this front office make an overly bad decision yet. In fact most have been good to great with a focus on long term sustainable success. If they sit down and want to hire someone im all for it… Tocchet included. Get the interviews done and lets make a call already so we can move forward.

I dont know who we are that we think the only coaches good enough for us are 45 year old multiple cup winners that wear kid gloves. I love this team always have, always will but were not looking in the mirror.
Brad Shaw is as qualified as any other candidate….He definitely had some success those last few weeks of the season and is familiar with the players.

Tocchett might be as good a coach as Kelly is a Flyers podcaster. No information she ever gives seems to be good information and she’s wearing a freakin Leafs shirt on a freakin Flyers podcast.

I am supportive of the Briere and Jonesy regime because I feel they are less likely to fall into the traditional flyers traps that have kept this team in mediocrity. If they hire Tocchet, I will count that as strike one against this regime.
I would rather see B Shaw get a shot at the HC position ! He can teach and communicate and has the players respect … Sometimes you need not go farther than your own backyard to find the right answer!!! Great show GO FLYERS!!!

With respect to evaluating coaches on how much they have won, how many coaches win a cup with multiple different teams?
If I had to guess, most coaches who win a Stanley cup had not won one yet when they were hired by the team they won it with. With that being said, please dont hire Toc..

It COULD be that he runs an amazing practice.
It COULD be that when he holds a film session, he has the entire room rapt in awe with his insight and teaching methods.
The "only evidence you have at your disposal" is based solely on numbers, not first hand knowledge.
The rest of the paid professionals in this league who swim in these waters on the daily, likely have an opinion at least worth considering when it approaches something smelling like consensus.
