MULTIPLE Bruins Updates… This is Pure GENIUS | Boston Bruins News

keeps getting better for the Boston Bruins as multiple updates have come out about the Bruins coaching search and a very new interesting candidate as well as some more updates regarding the future of this team and the plans for the offseason. We’re going to be breaking it all down here in this video as well as going over a few updates from the AHL here to begin. But before we get into it, be sure to hit sub button if you haven’t already. We’re on the road to 7K and we know that just over 70% of you guys watching right now are not subscribed to the channel. I can guarantee if everybody watching this video right now hits the sub button, we will be at 7K. There’s no doubt about my mind. Then make sure to do so if you haven’t already. Without any further ado, let’s get into this video. Starting off our first topic here, going over Michael Dpietro. And I want to talk about him. Want to talk about a few players in the AHL as the Bruins, Providence Bruins, that is are now eliminated from the Calder Cup to the Charlotte Checkers. But this is a lot better than what it may seem like for the Boston Bruins. you have a very good insight regarding some players that are going to be on the roster next season. No doubt. And Michael DPro is one that has spoken about it recently on the final year of his deal now is no longer going to be under contract with the Bruins. And there is an absolute need to bring him back with the Boston Bruins. We know that Yones Corposalo likely to get traded. Still don’t know for sure what’s going to happen there, but all signs are really pointing towards a Jon score trade getting rid of his contract and the ruins moving up to another goalie in the NHL along with Jeremy Swimman and Michael D. Pedro’s earned that right because when we go and look at his stats here in these playoffs in the season with Providence with you know the past few years of Providence I should say not just this year he has been stellar when you look at his games this year 40 games played a 205 goals against a 927 save percentage this year in the playoffs just then uh seven games played a 185 goals against a 928 save percentage. He’s really shown that he’s capable of winning games when needed and that really is exactly what the Bruins need. We saw that with Corposal last year, wasn’t able to do it necessarily. But when you’re looking at a guy like Michael Dpietro who can come in replace Jon Corposal in a one for one, I absolutely think it is time and Michael DPro had no doubt in my mind has deserved this and has deserved to get up to the big squad with the Boston Bruins. So let me know what you think about that. But we also have to have a look at a few players here that kind of went over and under the radar, I guess we could say, in the AHL throughout these playoffs. And we see Vanilla at the top here. Has been at the top of the AHL uh for the time he’s been down there. You know, of course, he’s an NHL player, but playing down the AHL certainly is capable of playing there, but we’re looking mainly at the prospects here. And when we’re looking at this, there’s not too many there, unfortunately. Now, Matthew Quattro, four points in eight games. Georgie Mirov got hurt. So that’s not a bit of a that’s not one that we can really kind of blame him on for not being on this list, but Fabian Lel is the other one here. Two points in seven games. Now in the playoffs in the AHL Bruins, uh Providence Bruins playoffs, they’ve played quite a few more veterans. You know, Oliver Walstrom, Vinnie Literary, Riley Tuy, Patrick Brown, those guys have played a few years, quite a few years. A lot of those players played in the NHL as well. So you’re going to put them up in front. But this was a good developmental regardless of points for these players that we’re talking about in Fen Leel, Matthew Platra, Frasier, Mitten, you know, all these younger players that we’re hoping to see in the roster next year. And this is the perfect way to end the season. Of course, a Calder Cup win would have been a good way, but we got to see them play in these playoffs. We got to see them play better than what they had at the start of the season. And then for guys like Phoebe Lel, George America, Matt Poer, who were in the NHL this year, got sent down or either called up and sent back down, it’s going to be a good look for them as we head into the regular season uh the offseason and then into the regular season once again with quite a few holes that the Bruins have to fill. So filling within much easier than what we’re doing when it does come down to it. And when we’re also looking at uh Matt Padra stats here, 33 games played in the NHL this year, 11 points. certainly still even though he’s only 21 years old, not just there yet. And it goes to show why the AHL is so important. When we look at the Providence Bruins this year, he played much better down there. We can remember when he first got called down or first sent down, you know, what was it, a 12 points and 12 games going on for a long, long time. And still just turned 21 years old. He’s going to be a big part of this future, no doubt. And I’m excited to see him hopefully crack this lineup next year, stay healthy, and stay up there. And we know, we still got to earn it. Matt Potch, I think, is a guy that has been able to do that, has shown he’s been able to do that. But guys like Lysel, guys like Merkel, still it’s their time to go and earn this. And Frasier Mitten as well, the newly acquired guy. It’s going to be interesting to see where things go from there. But when we head over as well, we have a look at the NHL decisions of the coaching staff, which a lot of uncertainty has surrounded him. New update from David Pagnata has revealed the Bruins head coach search are adding Marco Sturm to the mix, hearing he’s under serious consideration for the position. Now, this was a few days ago, May 9th. So, we’re looking at this now. We have some more developments and we have not heard anything other than this. So, we know Marco Sturm still under serious consideration. We’ve seen him in serious consideration before with the Bruins and now that we’re actually having it on paper, we saw that reports were there. Marco Sturm was an option and David Pagda only confirmed this for us, which is exactly what we wanted to hear. Now, Marco Sturm should be no surprise to anybody that he’s a coaching candidate for not just the Bruins, but the NHL. We see him on a list as well for the Vancouver Conucks. you see him just about everywhere that a co head coaching option is open. Marco Storm has found his name on this list. But when it comes to the Bruins, he’s a familiar face. Played with the Boston Bruins before, found himself a home in Boston. And you know, it’s good to see him back here if we do end up doing this. Of course, the LA Kings had him in the organization. Was an option to go out there and be the LA Kings head coach a couple years ago. Did not earn that. But Sturma spent the last three seasons coaching the Kings AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign. Over that stretch he has coached the club to 119 80 and 17 record while helping top pres pro prospects like Quinton Bifffield and Brent Clark develop into impact players. Now this is where we see Marco Stern become a very interesting option for this team because developing guys like Quinton Biffield Brent Clark who took a bit longer than average I think is fair to say when it comes to development. The Bruins have a lot of younger players right now a lot of younger players who are going to be coming up. a lot of younger players right now who have taken that time to develop and he would certainly be able to translate their game from that AHL game into the NHL and that’s something that we’ve been waiting for like guys like I feel like it’s a broken record at this point Lysel those two guys been in the HL for years now and trying to get them in the NHL has not overall been a success story for the Boston Bruins but if Marco Stern was able to do that translate Quinton Biffield and Brent Clark into already supposed to be top prospects into literally elite talent right now in the NHL I feel like You can do that with just about any young prospect who has any bit of hope and potential in the NHL like those two that we were talking about just a moment ago. So that’s another really interesting thing to consider when you’re looking at Marco Sturm as a head coach compared to guys like Mark Sevard compared to guys um you know like Nisha Donskov who are still coaches in the AHL and NHL whatnot wherever assistant coaches head coaches but they really haven’t necessarily taken the reigns and shown development like that for specific players. Looking at Marco Sturm’s head coaching career, I guess we could say 42 wins, 43 wins this season, last season, them the first season there, 34 and 32 record. But this Ontario rain team really has shown that they are a very, very deep team. Shown that a lot of those prospects and a lot of those players who played on that Ontario team are now the LA Kings. And when we look at it, the LA Kings have pretty much completely come up from that Ontario rain team, which Marco Sturm was the helm of for a little while. So, I’m excited to see what Marco Sturm’s kind of candidate options are here for the Boston Bruins, whether or not they actually do go out here, go and make that push for him. As we saw from the David Pagnado tweet there, they are under serious consideration for the position in Marco Sturm. They like the guy and of course, you know, having a familiar face there is always a great option and kind of the same thing uh when we come down to the other options that have been available. And you know, the Bruins like to know someone like to have someone who can develop offense, develop players, and really to be able to kind of be a bundle of specific coaches into one, which I think Marco Sturm certainly is at this point. Now, another note on Marco Sturm, one final one before we finish this video off here. He is a German coach, was the German native, and it coached the Olympic team from 2015 to 2018, helping them win a silver medal in the 2018 Olympics in Pyong Chang, South Korea. before running the show with the Ontario reign. Sturm was also assistant coach in the NHL for four seasons with the LA Kings from 2018 to 2022. So although he doesn’t have NHL coaching head coaching experience, he still has that coaching experience in the NHL being behind the bench with I believe it was Tom Mleen. Correct me if I’m wrong there, but he’s been, you know, been around the game for quite some time playing coming into coaching and we see a lot of NH former NHL players right now become coaches and have a lot of success. So I’m interested to see how this turns out. I’m a big advocate for Marco Sturm. I think he will fit this team nicely. So, let me know what you think as well here in the comments below. That’s all I got in this video. If you did enjoy, give it a like, hit the sub but as well, and remember, let me know what you think about Marco Sturm in the comments below. And any other players that you want to see from this Providence Bruins team up into the NHL next season after this Providence season has come to an end. So, let me know what you think about all that stuff there in the comments below. That’s all I got. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day. See you later.

  1. You seem to think every single thing bruins is pure genius is pure bias and just ridiculously stupid. How has Sweeney destroyed this team over the years oh right.

  2. How do you expect prospects to score a lot when there in lower rolls so. Instead Vinny Riley Patrick etc
