STORM Running Away From the Capital?! | Hurricanes Blow Away Capitals in Game 4 NHL Playoffs!

The Carolina Hurricanes delivered a dominant performance in Game 4 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, defeating the Washington Capitals 5-2 to take a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Key contributions came from Sean Walker and Taylor Hall, each recording a goal and an assist. Additional goals were scored by Shayne Gostisbehere, Seth Jarvis, and Andrei Svechnikov. Goaltender Frederik Andersen made 19 saves to secure the win.

Despite goals from Jakob Chychrun and Alex Ovechkin, the Capitals couldn’t overcome the Hurricanes’ relentless attack. Goaltender Logan Thompson faced 37 shots, making 32 saves.

The Hurricanes’ penalty-killing unit was instrumental, successfully neutralizing a four-minute Capitals power play.

  1. As a Finn I'm expecting more from Aho. Carolina will take this but next round will be really hard for them. Then again i can't watch these games because i have to go to work at morning so I don't get the whole picture of the game.

This might sound silly but how about Rocky The Razor?

  2. Really appreciate the Canes coverage, but damn, it is Svechnikov, not Shuhvechnikov. Thank you!!

  3. You keep making great content like this you might have to rename the channel to "Bunch of Jerks Sports" Lets Go Canes!!!

  4. Friendly tip from a canes fan, Shayne’s last name is pronounced GAWS-tihs-bair, love the breakdowns regardless!

  5. New subscriber but love your analysis. Yes I’m a Canes fan but you have a unique way to explaining and showing (love the slow mo during explanations) that really makes me appreciate and learn more.

  6. A friend recommended your channel at the start of the first series and I have to say its nice to see someone that gives the canes Credit when its due and calls us on our weaknesses correctly when they're obvious. I think I've learned more about how my team plays watching your analysis than in almost a decade of watching.

  7. Caps fan. Love your breakdowns. Hate the way the series is going but credit Carolina, really crushing us.

I feel Washington needs to get more pucks to the net, get bodies in front of the net an get some second and third opportunities. Then we might have a chance.

I don't see it happening though.

  8. Being at the game, loved every minute of it. Crowd was fantastic and boys were buzzing. Just smothering D by all 5 skaters out on the ice. Not sure what's boring about an elite 4 minute PK.

  9. did you really say even IF they lose this series? that is highly unlikely based on historical stats and even more so on everything we've seen in this series.

  10. I predicted Canes- Caps-Canes-Canes-Caps-Canes before the series. I would not be surprised if the Caps win game 5, but the Canes are getting better and better, and there is a great chance it ends Thursday.

  11. Man these videos are awesome love the breakdowns of every detail on plays. I feel like I’m back in high school watching film for football except it’s hockey. GO CANES!!!!

  12. While I sort of like the idea of having a superstar, I concurrently struggle with why everyone feels the need to have one.
If we have a deep, dynamic bench, loaded with strong talent who’re all great at what they do, a superstar is realistically moot. We’re currently proving this by having a strong band of guys who are most definitely hometown heroes: the kind who don’t need their ego rubbed by league-wide fanbase recognition. They show up, they go to work, they get it done: all playing their unique yet important role in each win.
I’ll take a team full of hometown heroes that consistently win games over having one ā€œsuperstarā€ whose health, reputation, etc. seemingly determines the game/season outcome. Hometown heroes: EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Make no mistake, however. I believe our top players deserve to be considered superstars throughout the league because they’re consistently getting it done, many times in spectacular fashion. That said, them not receiving that level of league-wide recognition isn’t negatively affecting the team.

    Oh yeah: LET’S GO CANES!!!

  13. Want to personally thank you for acknowledging the Canes fan base. Most of the other YouTubers and NHL media never heard of the Canes.
