How dangerous are Oilers with everyone contributing?

What was the Oilers mentality coming into Game 4? How dangerous are the Oilers with everyone contributing? What did you see from Stuart Skinner in Game 4? Should we be talking more about Kris Knoblauch’s great coaching? TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss.

  1. Hothead Hill is ruining his own team. He's trying to manufacture emotions from his team by being a weak assed crybully. They're buying in to the point of losing their objectivity, and ultimately, the game.😂

  2. That Hill goalie was such a clown. He pushed Hyman so hard that he did a flip and landed hard on the ice. Then he tripped Janmark, fell HIMSELF, and the Oilers got a penalty instead of the other way around. And then someone get crosschecked into him and he go fightmode, 4 vs 1 and nobody of them got a penalty. Clown team, lost all respect for them, at least they're out in 1 more game.

  3. After Hills shenanigans, there were at least 2 shifts where every Vegas player close to the puck got absolutely drilled. Love to see it

  4. I had one thought in mind, well, two. One was exactly what Craig said, 1st round fodder. BUT – I was also saying that the Oilers goal was to 'make the playoffs' and make it 'healthy' and 'rested' which for the most part they did (excluding Ekholm). Their second goal is to win the Cup if they can/do. Well, they did and I said IF they get by L.A. it means they were ready and they'd win the Cup. Lets not forget for the doubters, Oilers played like Crap in both games 2 and 3. Who won game 2? And Vegas needed , literally, a last second goal to win game 3. If Oilers play their game they win, period. I don't care what Vegas does as they are not the better team. And Vegas is a very good team they are not fodder.

  5. CRAIG BUTTON…DIRECTOR OF SCOUTING HAHAHAHAH. WOW TSN PATHETIC, BUTTON SAID LA WAS GOING TO WIN, SAID VEGAS WAS GOING TO WIN…HE IS NEVER RIGHT

  6. The Oilers are having to play 10 on 6 in almost every game of these playoffs. Frustrating as hell

  7. The fact that Knobber didn't win the Jack Adams last year despite taking the biggest flop in the nhl and turning them into the highest points-percentage team in the league from christmas onwards (after being hired mid-november) is criminal. Remind me again, how's Tocchet doing in Vancouver?

  8. When the Edmonton Oilers of the last few years make the choice to go to work and relentlessly forecheck and then capitalize on chances that creates, they will pretty easily beat any team. Sadly, us poor old fans have to question, how often will that "real team" show up instead of the got a lead, lets take the rest of the game off.. team. We could have been going for out 3rd straight cup this year. Instead, it is question if they will work hard enough to finish this series with a win.

  9. I predicted the Oilers in five when the series began. Edmonton has the best offense of the remaining teams. McDavid and Draisaitl can be unstoppable when both are determined to score. If Skinner can maintain a high level play, Edmonton will be in the Final. I am looking forward to more exciting, fun-to-watch play off hockey.

For the record: I am a long time L.A. Kings fan and I also like the VGK.

  10. Skinner had a good game, he was solid. But you are only as good as your last game and one of his weaknesses is his inconsistencies. IMO I beleive the biggest problem with Skinner is his head, and his mental approach to each game. If he can get out of his head and play consistently like last night, along with the defensive support he received, the Oilers are seriously a major threat to win it all.

  11. that coach is a U of A grade . from hockey hall of fame member Clair Drake . that was old time U of A full pressure hockey . anyone else see Dr Randy Gregg play ? another U of A hockey grade .

  12. They don't talk enough about Kulak? Ok. They don't talk enough about Knaubloch? Ok. How about, they didn't even mention the Selke level 200 foot game by Leon Draisaitl last night. Eichel and Stone were shut DOWN last night by the Draisaitl line. THAT is how you win championships, when your Rocket Richard trophy winning, Hart trophy nominee decides to put on a defensive master class and depend on his other lines to handle the offense.

  13. Like I said last year and early this playoffs. The top two players need to get off the ice. And now it’s a team

  14. Craig Button must keep dismissing the Oilers and predict VGK will win this series. The reverse psychology is working!
