  1. 4:13 oof. That was a tough start to his answer… But I won't read anything into it. I'm just glad he's currently a Canuck. That fight he got into near the end of the season was, to me, one of the standout highlights to an otherwise bafflingly weird and disappointing season.

  2. Garland is clearly not committed based on answers like "I love Vancouver, it's a great city" and "I have a great agent… that's up to him". If he was committed he would say "I love playing for Vancouver" instead of "I love playing hockey"

  3. Connor Garland — nice guy, great hockey player, and a top asset of the Canucks. A couple of years ago when there was talk of trading him, I was totally opposed and was really glad they didn't. I wish we had half a dozen more guys like Garland. His consistent effort and relentless drive, making him one of the top Canucks in the goals/assists list all season, has made him a fan favourite. But when it comes to the lack of Canucks success this season and the JT Miller-Petterson soap opera, there still remains an unanswered question: Connor McDavid annual contract $12.5 million. Elias Petterson annual contract $11.6 million. Quinn Hughes annual contract $7.85 million. Connor Garland annual contract $4.95 million. What's wrong with this picture?
