Kulikov elbowing on Marner – Tough Call Recommendation

Dmitry Kulikov stuck his elbow up and out to catch Mitch Marner in the head. There was no call on the play.

  1. To me that looks like one of those plays where the guy is lined up for a hit and where contact ends up being made changed because he moved. Marner trying to spin away from the hit is what put his head in Kulikov's path.

  2. Is there even any contact? It looks like marner spins away from it, as opposed to getting spun by the hit.

  3. 🤔…. Player on American based team elbows to the head of player on Canadian based team…. no penalty!
🤔…. Player on Canadian based team elbows to the head of player on American based team …. 5 minute major, game misconduct and 3 game suspension!

    my OPINION 🦂

  4. Nothing to see here. It's just one more cheap shot by the Panthers. The refs sure love the rough stuff and the cheap shots thats pretty obvious.

  5. For Berube so say the hit on Marner was '10 times worse' than the Domi hit on Barkov is completely ridiculous! Kulikov GLANCED his elbow off the back of Marners helmut…Gutless Domi intentionally hit Barkov from the back while maintaining momentum…but that's typical Domi!

  6. Mariner got low in his turn and now Kulis forarm turns into an elbow graze( during a play).. For a coach or anyone to say this is worse than Domis hit on Barkov after the game that served no other purpose other than to injure is just irresponsible

  7. That's not hockey, that's the act of a goon and a thug! The reason the panthers continue to do this is because the league let's them get away with it!!!

  8. I don't see the contact here. It looks like a clear miss. This would have been 5 minutes if he landed it. Mitch sells it. That's fine. The slow-mo shows a clear near miss.

  9. Tough Call is more like totally jaded non hockey playing fools. The fact is the attempt is there to hit Marner. Everyone agrees he missed and elbowed the head slightly. Fact is there's no extension, it's plain follow through. It was a hockey play that any of us could have done. Not sure why this podcast is selling it as something else.

  10. If Marner just braces for the check instead of turning away and ducking, to avoid contact, it’s just a normal check. That being said, he still should’ve gotten two minutes for elbowing.

  11. Nhl wants Florida to advance so their 327 fans hopefully double next year…player safety is a bunch of toddlers placing bets
