It’s not like us were, you know, fans since day one and and everything like that. So, it’s not it’s not hard for her to root for the Panthers to do well, but at the same time in her bracket, um she chose divorce instead of picking Panthers over Caps. So, there’s that. Are you talking about the guys on TV or Kyle and I? because that I’m sure that that sentence could be a could be applied to Kyle and I. It’s uh disgusting how blatant the bias is. So if if if that happened, Beex, set, that’s a really good point. If that happened, I feel Lundelle’s proven he can handle 2C at this point. And if you could get a if you could get a 3C in his place, that gives us, you know, a helpful advantage as well. And we’d have the money for that if we had to let Bennett go. You’d have Samvich right there next to him because you’re not going to break up Lundell and Loose to Ryan. And that’s the only question is can loose to Ryan get you enough goals at at on the second line. I think we know Londell and Marian could and would Marian want to go a whole season in the top six you know would he be able to keep you know keep that up. Colin says the rest on the Panther side even though the Leafs have more power plays than the Cats. I mean there’s calls that happen right? It goes both ways. Every podcast that’s that’s they were just played dirty out to her players. I mean, I don’t know what to say. The Panthers aren’t even the worst example of some of these big bad teams. And hockey is so different now, too. It’s like I I I kind of believe a lot of that’s young kids who never saw hockey in the 80s and the 90s, especially the 90s. In the 90s, if you actually literally decapitated a guy on the ice, if you could sew his head on before the ref caught on to it, you you know, not even two minutes. Michael says, “I don’t know. It was it was it was it was iffy, sketchy for it to be a follow through. He was swinging at the puck with the stick. I don’t know what the exact rule there is, but if I’m being honest, if that was a Panther player that did that, I would be screaming it was a follow through. So, to to be fair there, Kachchuck says, “I’m telling you, a deep sea fishing boat is all it will take to keep Marian in Florida.” I bet. I bet. Kachchuck is going to have surgery in the off season and then he’s going to take a long nap and be on the LTIR for the entire year and come back for game one of the playoffs. Now, I’m completely making that up, but if there’s any dude that needs to do that, it’s him. That’s my take and I’m sticking to it. Especially if we go through and win again. if if if he because what’s what if if he has a sports hernia and he plays all the way through and we win the cup and he plays that many games. I mean the surgery is just going to be nasty. So I get your point. I left Kachchuck off for that top six there. Um but you just I just don’t think you want to break up Lendell loose. He did look better yesterday in terms of contributing in the offensive zone. His puck handling was better. His passes weren’t off, etc. But defensively, damn, I mean, he’s a massive liability on the ice, and he was already just barely adequate defensively, right? He already could barely skate as it is. Um, the problem with taking him off the ice is is who you know what I mean? Like I don’t know what you do there because you’re not you’ve already moved. Let’s let’s face it. Lindel Luc Ryan and Marshian’s already the second line right now. You know what I mean? I don’t know how they’re spacing out in terms of ice time and everything, but that’s already happened right now because in part because of Kachchuck and Rodriguez really isn’t producing a whole lot. So, I just don’t know who you put out there. The only guy that we have to put in his spot is Boquist and the difference. You know what I mean? It’s like it’s a tough call. Thank you again, Frank. Michael says, “Sign Marian for two years and get rid of Eggpl. I don’t care if Bennett has been producing the last three years.” I don’t know. I would prefer to sign Bennett. No doubt. It’s just a matter of at this point what we’re all hopeful for is that he just doesn’t want to sign the contract during the playoffs and as soon as the season’s over, then he’ll sign the contract because they’ve been negotiating for a while. And our general consensus around here with my exception is pay him six or seven million. And my thing is if he wants to if he if you have to give him eight to sign him for four years I do it. So either they just didn’t want to sign a contract during the season or they got a negotiation problem. Yeah. So, and they were still ne I mean the writing could be on the wall. They got Jones and they started immediately negotiating with Bennett. The only thing that that says to me is they’re going to let Eblad walk or Eblad has already told them if you only have like five dollars left I’ll take it. I want to stay. I don’t care about the money. One of those two things to me seems logically like that’s what’s going on. JC about Kachchuck. Yeah. No, he doesn’t have full range of motion. Range of motion. Um, but how much of a how much of a discount does Marian want to take to stick around? Some of that might have to do with if Bennett resigns because if Bennett doesn’t resign that puts a damper on what Marshian might believe is going to be the Panthers ability to keep making long runs and yeah so 4×4 that that’s what Kachchucken is saying four might be a little bit long in term for him but if he if he’s willing to sign a contract and we could pull it off I mean it’s it’s It would just be if he if he could stay with L down loose to Ryan. And I mean the the the that line is it reminds me a little bit of when um Bennett and Hubo first got together where it was just like damn. But this right here, this is this is turning into the Paul Maurice dream series where his team just stays in the fight, keeps it close, scratches and claws to game seven, and the other team is just beat to a pulp. And the problem with that, there’s a problem with that is that let’s say Panthers win this one and seven the way this series has been. What what could we possibly have left in the gas tank for Washington or Carolina, especially at this point? Well, like you said, just beat the Leafs, right? This the only way you keep a neckl and Bennett with with and and Jones and if you wanted to resign Marshian, somebody’s going to have to go. Maybe you I mean you could package Rodriguez and Vocus together to get five million or whatever in cap freed up. But that’s a lot of depth you’re trading away too. And I mean, I’m all for it because that was everybody’s big complaint about V for Hegy was defensive liability doesn’t really do anything. And that’s that’s changed. What’s the point of playing 82 games to get to the playoffs if we’re just going to see the same style of hockey in the playoffs that we see in the regular season? The the the NHL survives because of the elevated competition and all a lot of that rough stuff that happens in the playoffs. If if it if it wasn’t, you know what I mean? like NBA basketball for the most part from what I’ve seen and heard, right? They’ve just got a bigger fan base, but the playoffs aren’t really all that much. You see a little bit more action, but but with hockey, it’s two different sports. Regular season hockey and and playoff hockey is two different sports and it has to stay that way for the league to survive. It just that’s what draws people in is you get two months at least two months of just brutality on ice. That’s what makes it so beautiful. Bob’s getting extended, but we and but you know, it won’t be long before you might start to see uh I don’t think we’ll see Cooper Black as the backup next year, but he probably you might consider going into the season with him at at three. you know, he might he might get a game or two next year if if you want to see that because we do we do we do need to start at least, you know, getting a general idea if him or the kid from Russia that people have been telling me about is is going to be a viable Bob replacement in a couple of years. I think you’ll see a Bob extension this this off season. Eric says, “We got a taste of how they can play during that second period. if they can replicate this all the way in game four. But the fact that it went off the defenseman JC says, “Imagine a world where we where we resign Bennett and Marian. Chucky takes the LTIR ZTO.” Zitto makes moves and does magic to bring in Brady. What I can say is we don’t hear all all a whole lot of the commentary a lot of times because we’re streaming. But what what irritates the hell out of me is the production managers of these broadcasts and it’s across the board. You’ll hear the crowd screaming and yelling over something’s going on. there’s like a scrum going on and they’ll just be showing a picture of some random player just like skating back to the bench that has nothing to do with the what the crowd is getting agitated about and it takes them forever. It takes them forever to switch to the new camera. That that’s my biggest gripe is the production managers are they’re terrible. Hey MJ, thank you bud. I would think that if we got it to 3-2 lead, I would think it wouldn’t surprise you to see us lose game six at home and then win game seven on the road. And honestly, we just need to lock him away somewhere where he just gives his body a year a whole year off. It’ll never happen. He’ll probably rush to try to be ready for game one. But I hope not. Schmidt’s the police chief and Barkoff and Marian are the cops and Barkoff’s this big strapping serious dude and Marian’s the little guy that’s always trying to get them into trouble. Yeah. Yeah. Schmid he’s got he’s ball. He’s Yeah. He he he could easily age into the chief role. Yeah. And he’s he’s funny. Yeah. The stick would be that Schmidt pretends to be all serious when they’re around, but then when Barkoff’s not around, Schmidt will get Marshian to tell him to do things that’s going to get Bark off get Barkoff going, right? And Barkov like tries to get mad and angry about it, but he’s just so he’s just so serious and so dry that you never know if he’s really bitching and complaining or if if he’s, you know, trying to be funny his himself. Yeah. Yeah. Rodriguez got a good personality, too. Chucky. Yeah. A Starski and Hutch. Right. Then Schmid and Neck would be doing blue shoes in the back of the police station. Oh, poor Chucky. Yeah, poor Ecklad’s never gonna live that down. She’s never going to live it down. All right, everybody. I got to go. I’m gonna get some lunch. Sit with Donna for a few hours.
