tbh if its petterson (and ig possibly other young players) and they tried other stuff saying it in media while kinda shitty does make sense since if it doesnt work out currently they have explicitly put it out there as a headss up for possible incoming players

-players (toxic attitude problem players like JT thank goodness are gone / underperforming & overpaid players unfortunately still there like ep40 / chronically injured players unfortunately still there like demko & chytil / superstar leaders that perform very well but unfortunately are inevitably going to chose to leave in 2 years like quinn hughes / UFA's that are likely gong to walk giving nothing to canucks in return like boeser & suter)
-media = toxic, constantly drumming up drama to endlessly harp on & pester players/coaches with unnecessary distractions all season long & get under their skin can't help morale overall (other markets like in the states where hockey goes mostly unnoticed, they don't do that
-fans = fanatics (tone it down a few notches guys, its just hockey – get a life)
