Wow wow wow we made it to the playoffs the last time we did that I wasn’t even born! Well my mum was pregnant with me at the time!
With both teams having a lot to play for it was always going to be a nervy game. Preston needing the win to guarantee survival and City needing the win to guarantee playoffs.
The Preston fixture always means a lot to me personally so I really didn’t want to see them go down but equally being a lifelong City supporter I really really wanted us to win. However with a lot of luck other restyles went our way but it was a nervy wait after the game finished 2-2.
I was happy to see Preston survive to continue playing championship football next season but when the results came through and we made it I couldn’t quite believe we had made the playoffs! Not bad for a team that some people expected to be relegated.
Anyway on to the playoffs.
