  1. Holy thirsty for content much. Has played ok recently but just look at his stats hes not good for a first round draft pick

  2. When Podkolzin was traded, I was one of the ones who objected. Everyone told me he was too hyped up and a disappointment. It sounds like with a different team or system he thrived

  3. Maybe he won't ever reach his potential… but that's okay. He's a very serviceable bottom-6 that puts up about 25 points per season. And he's still just 23.

Last year in the playoffs… he was noticeable in the sense he was finishing every check, trying to throw hits, doing his best to create something from nothing offensively….. a shame the Canucks got rid of him for a bag of pucks… to a division rival too.

  4. Another great Alvin is cooking meme.

Great asset management and a great look at how horrid player development is in Vancouver

  5. I can remember lead up to the draft hoping either Mitchov (not much luck on that happening, but you can dream) or Boldy would drop to the Canucks. Then being 100% sure the Canucks were going to take Boldy while watching the draft unfold. Nope. I was not happy. Still not happy. Venting done.

  6. I did like Tocchet , but I think Rick really killed the offensive players confidence and abilities. Podkolzen and Kuzmenko are both showing their offensive abilities on different teams . I hope we get a coach that has Defense as a base , but encourages offence …

  7. 37 years. This season finally broke me. F the Canucks. Infact f hockey. It's been a steady decline in every way every year. Pffft. Peace

  8. As an Oiler fan, I'd say that Podkolzin hasn't been great offensively, but decent. The LA series was bonkers for being high scoring. Pod had a break out game vs the Knights game 2 where he seemed to put it all together. He has elite defensive forward instincts, that's why he played with Draisiatl a lot in the season, but the offense wasn't there. Anyway, it's not surprising that a young player got better when he became a year older. The Oilers screwed up worse by giving up Holloway through mismanagement

  9. We’re happy to have him. Canucks didn’t even appreciate him nearly enough. Canuck fans were laughing at me for saying we were glad to take him. The guy works hard. First guy at practice

  10. I don't remember how long it took the Sedins to make it, but Podkolzin's growth was painfully slow. He was barely a roster player when they traded him. Sometimes going to a good team can bring out the best in you. I don't believe Pod would be doing well if he went to a different mediocre team like Anaheim or Buffalo. I don't think he showed flashes of brilliance like the Sedins did in their early years so I don't blame them for trading Pod when they did.

  11. VANCOUVER needs to sell and give this franchise to a serious city. The team is miss managed as well as the fans are intelligent.

  12. It goes to show you that if you put the player into the right environment, they will become a decent player. Look at all the other former Canucks that did the same: Kuzmenko, Jared McCann, Gustav Forsling. Then there's players we traded for and did nothing here and went off to play as a top player elsewhere: OEL, Chatfield, etc. Some of it is player maturity, but often it's the structure. Canucks history is well known for this.

  13. I'm an Oilers fan, and I was curious how he would fit in. In the playoffs, he's the "tough guy" for the 4th line, but he has skills and produces points. Every line has its own "tough guy" (Perry, Kane, Frederic are the others), and with him on the 4th line, he's not only playing smart defensively, he's providing a good amount of offence. He plays on the penalty kill, as well. I like him. I hope to see him explode in production next season.

  14. He was working hard for the canucks when they traded him. Our prospects always do better with some other team. It would take me 2 hours to write down all the names on here
