San Jose and Chicago both tanked and still ended up at 2 or 3. The NHL system is a half measure that doesnt accomplish anything but confuse and piss people off. At the very least if you win a pick you should win a pick meaning Utah should have gotten 2, not 4.
Hextall set this framchise back several years with not only a half butt rebuild but horrible drafts. Dude was a fraud and snake oil salesman.
The scar tissue you speak of causing all the negativity, at least on my end, isn't recent.
I lived through Lindros' injuries, never having a goalie, missing out on the 1st overall just to get JVR in a miserable season, Hart's situation, Lindbloms diagnosis, Prongers eye injury,
Kane scoring the cup winner at home in the dumbest way possible, and so on…
Just feels like we can't catch a break.
I think what they're doing now is the right way to go, and we did get a bit of luck with Michkov, so we shall see.
I wasn't surprised or disappointed with the lottery.
This is the Flyers, always expect the worst possible outcome.
Both San Jose and Chicago got another top 5 pick so…..
Here's why the lottery is bullshit, the Flyers had more odds to move back then move up.

Which is why "tanking" is a stupid strategy, but 80% of this fanbase want them to lose. They have to be better and that's on DB. They have to get better each year and if they don't its on the front office, not the coach, the front office.

It seemed like for a number of years every prospect was getting injured. Morin's knees, Rubstov was always hurt, Laberge got his head destroyed, Obrien had issues D+1, even Frost and Farabee missed pivotal development time. The effect of D+1 & D+2 injuries would be a cool discussion with some of the development coaches.

Jason keep fighting my man. You look great. As far as the Flyers I can't do another tear it down season. It's been 5 years since we made the playoffs. It feels like an eternity. Its time to get this ship going in the right direction. Danny Briere needs to make some good additions to the roster either by trades or signing a free agent. We have to keep drafting well too.
WHY Carson Bjarnason not in the net with the Phantoms in playoffs very good expérience for Him, Jacob Fowler Play with Laval at the same age and they' re more solid than the Phantoms in the net , and Carson Bjarnason draft before Jacob Fowler ,for a supposed TEAM in rebuild processus not very Smart by the organisation

People having a meltdown over 6th or 4th and I get it. Seems fishy 2 teams not 1 move that far its insane. Teams should not be allowed in lottery that barely missed playoffs but the Flyers have 10 picks and mode important they need to make moves in free agency. Jason I agree its enough they didnt rebuild right and forget it now. Time to get serious. One thing that this FO is still doing is they got to stop resigning there own players. U got to cut the cord. Flyers have a bunch of nice players in minors but there prospects just dont know. Heres the thing and its fact if they fired Torts way earlier and if the PP was even avg they make playoffss
After the season ended I felt like I really needed to disconnect.. aside from the 20 incredibly upsetting minutes of draft lottery (calder nominees…. Islanders first pick? UTAH? WHY THE FU-)

I understand you don't want to go through it again, but the way they have decided to go will doom them to perpetual mediocrity. This team needs to draft elite talent, and elite talent is more likely at the top of the draft. THAT IS A FACT.
Flyers suck. I dont think people should try to convince themselves they are close. Constant mistakes. Terrible drafts and trades. No direction.
There are only two ways to get a high draft pick: 1) tank 2) play in the NYC metro area
We’re still going on walk away with a likely solid center in Desnoyers, Hagens, or Frondel. With our assets we can also see if like a Roger McQueen starts to slip and maybe trade up. We’re not in a bad spot at all

How is it case in point???? Literally San Jose got a first overall last year, the hawks prior, then hawks get a second pick and now a third while San Jose still gets second. They actually are getting their core via tanking.
Flyers fans say they hate tanking but what have the flyers done since 1975 that's worked lmao.

I am optimistic about the team we have been building. The younger guys continuing to grow. The leadership group building with more players stepping up. Great things are coming and I trust Danny and Jones to bring great things for the organization.
The signal? The signal for this team is failing. Failing to draft well. Failing to develop well. This organization only knows how to fail!
I am optimistic about the flyers depth next year. We have at least 4 prospects that can compete for roster spots. Thinking more subtractions are coming.
