Our assessment with PGA TOUR and KFT veteran, Tyler Duncan, revealed how limited thoracic spine mobility could be creating attack angle and spin loft issues with his wedges.

another gem, I have a similar right ankle issue and will now look at my back angle, thanks!
Just when i'm thinking about what wedges to buy and how to hit them properly!
This is brilliant but the sad reality is that ams have more mobility issues and no access to some9ne like dr.greg and end up spending a fortune on lessons trying to achieve the unachievable. Great vid 👌
You earned your paycheck today. Keep us posted on his progression if you can. Great content as always
Could you explain the difference between kinematic sequence and timing sequence?
This helped me so much!
Amazing video. Go Tyler 🎉!
Superb video! Most interesting golf content on the platform. Thx for sharing that.
It's so amazing to get to see the infrastructure behind what it takes to support a professional player. The logistics are insane.
He's a chiropractor too! My god! Greg is simply brilliant!
This golf channel is amazing. I don't know how the subscriber and view count is so low compared to some other golf channels. Other channels will regurgitate information, create wack nonsense drills off the top of their heads for views, and clickbait like crazy, while MyTPI is literally out here showing what works to improve professional golfers while proving their methods with science. Thank you for releasing such awesome content!
It’s crazy watching this video. I’ve literally been battling this same issue with my wedges. My driver and long irons are good.
I came to the same realization with strengthening my grip more on the wedges in order to keep the face from opening up. The other focus has been to keep my trunk behind the ball. For this I’ve found that I have to cock my head further behind the ball. I think the biggest reason is that I’m a right handed golfer who is left eye dominant. Starting with my head further behind the ball helps me keep the club on the same path and not want to twist early.
These videos are literally the greatest thing I discovered for my improving my golf swing.
This is one of those situations where if it was an amateur, you'd probably say let's strengthen your grip, work on backswing upper body position, and give it a month or so of practice of just hitting duck hooks until you figure out how to release the club properly. But a tour pro doesn't have the liberty of regressing for a month or two and then being worse than before for probably a lot longer. Really tricky situation.
Welp, looks like we have some work cut out for us boys! Immediately hit the floor and did those stretches, not looking good for the home team..
Been following your uploads closely – it’s awesome to see the consistency and quality.
I have a feeling you’re just one small tweak away from a serious growth jump:
With t-spine problems the turn of the upper body is something else, when you have your fascias loose compared to, when your joints get stuck between the scapulas. And they can stuck in the smallest every day things, tieing your shoe laces and looking into wrong direction and the next you feel, you cannot breath, and cannot get up from bending over.
This is brilliant in all the right ways for those who are hobbyists and professionals. Well done! Watch the whole video everyone
Easily the best golf content available. I thought the Iona episode was unbeatable, but this was even more amazing.
Those Titleist athletes sure have an advantage.
How much of his mobility issues is age related? He's mid 30's now and golf just gets harder the older you get.
Great watch, as a player that is never going to get a chance to have this type of workout, I would like to know if there is any we can do in our own practice, things to avoid and things we should have in our golf swings, I myself suffer with snap hooks 11 handicap, it cost me 5-6 shots a round. Thanks from UK
47:00 Would a good drill too find this feeling of releasing the toe be to move the ball back off of the trail foot, limit horizontal push and feel like you start it Left of target. Then add back horizontal and ball position a little at a time.
I got into strength/endurance training and put on 10lbs of muscle over 3 months…my swing is foreign now. In the simulator everyday figuring it out 😩
Allow to help with this issue.
I belive it's the combination of the following :
1- He don't hinge the lift arm to lift the club, so he'll swae just to overswing to get the cap of the grip looking on the ground down.
2- He use both arm to rotate, while the right thing is to use the Right arm only and the left is for support and lifitng the club
3- He compress the ball with left arm, while he should use his right arm to compress. He fat the ball (chunk) because he use left insted of right arm.
Heard him mention stack and tilt players during this one. I would love to see a good stack and tilt player go through a session like this and see the data compared to more traditional modern swings.
Amazing just amazing. At 74 with a bad back, I can totally relate to this. My swing has changed dramatically over the last couple of years to the point where it looks and feels totally alien to me. Wanted to just quit. After watching this, I'm going to try and reload and use this. Thank You!

Brilliant content and good luck to Tyler. It demonstrates why golf is such a difficult game to master, even when the mental and motor skills are finely tuned, the bio-mechanics can throw you off.
Have to echo the prior comments….TPI session is a life 'bucket list' wish. To see such an accomplished athelete struggle with the basics of body movement and how Greg coaches – and manipulates – him through (including a huge dose of humor) was both enlightening and entertaining. Made me subscribe!
Great video, thanks to both TPI and Tyler for allowing us a window in.
I didn't take my eyes off this video! The detail of assessment is always fun to see from Dr. Rose. But the discovery from the assessment was unique in this video from TPI! Loved to see Tyler's struggle, then continued struggle, and then the light bulb moment for his release and turn at the end. Not the typical left foot push that we've seen. This was awesome!
This is me, poor trail side rotation; bad trail ankle mobility; and start swing with upper body. What I am not is an elite golfer who can compensate properly to “save” the swing. Instead I add early extension, get stuck, stall out, flip my hands, and have positive AoA. LOL!
Wow, that was some front row seat to a serious golfing MOT. The depth of knowledge is remarkable.
💎
So is he stack and tilt ?
One word for flexibility . YOGA . Do it daily and all that stiffness goes away .
You have to do a one or two month follow up on this . Great video . We have to see how it works out .
What a great video! At age 50 i did a TPI assessment in Australia. Its has completely changed how i move. Totally recommend to any player! Even us amateurs 😊
Just when I watch one myTPI video and think it's the greatest most informative video I've ever watched, you go ahead and release another one that takes 1st place! Great video. Definitely identify with this issue Tyler faces!!!!
This was really interesting, Boiler Up Tyler!
always the best! would've missed this if I hadn't seen the neuromuscular short
“I wanna cut my head off” 😂
Big respect to Tyler for being open and transparent about this! And obviously a BIG thanks to TPI!
Can we see the exercises he does in the physical becuase i have similar issues and leave 15h away from you guys
Dr Greg Rose, multi-talented coach. He even does the chiropractor fixes 😋
