I wonder if the new drouin (consistently defensively responsible) could fit in to more of a middle 6 contract and role. Seeing how soft colton has been and now fully locked in to a wing role, Id be much happier with him in that role than Colton.
Id feel a lot better about coyle if boston had retained.
Id honestly feel fine if they just promoted the entire 4th line to your 3rd line, put the money in to the 2nd line, and get more cheap money minute eating guys for your 4th line. That (current) 4th line can handle the minutes
Most of those braying “Fire Bednar, Trade Girard” are hem-hawing the moment you ask them…..for whom?
Never mind the question of if Sammy is so bad, why do you think any GM will give anything in return?
Before the skate deflection , I noticed girard , along with LOC being our best players in game 7
I also wonder why Blackwood was still on the right side when mikko came swinging around the net . It was so obvious mikko was wrapping around , it wasn’t subtle at all . And why was mikko allowed to race to the wraparound unimpeded ?
Also – don’t change anything ! The team has only been together a few months. They will learn from this together and then have a whole year to gel – don’t change anything !
