This may not be a popular idea, but Nashville has 3 first round picks (5th, 26th, and 30th). Isles could trade the first overall pick to Barry for the three first rounders this year, and one of his 2nd round picks. This gives you four fairly high picks to restock your prospect pipeline, and it is possible Hagans could still be there at five.
New rink, passionate fan base, and a pretty good core. Mix in living large on strong island I would think the GM job would be desirable to every candidate out there. Keep up the good job fellas the channel is going grand, LGI
Interesting fact, the first two digits out were 7, followed by 11. This number combo is historically famous, the Islanders won their first Stanley Cup in overtime when Bobby Nystrom scored at 7:11. Yes showing my age on this one. Maybe the Islander draft pick will where number 12.
Any thoughts on whether or not the Islanders should hire one person for both President of Hockey Operations and General Manager, or two separate hires, and your reason for your opinion.

I think you mean the Isles GM job is desirable.

Now that they got the #1 overall pick for a GM to choose and to build around a franchise goaltender. It is extremely attractive.
I saw someone say it might be Ken holland and I will crash out if that happens

Morrow knows what talent looks like. Promote him to GM…and I think they go Hagens not Schaeffer

Unfortunately it's going to be Ken Holland as President of Hockey Operations AND General Manager
