  1. I wouldn't trade Mailloux for O'Reilly, if O'reilly was 5 years younger, yes, i would do it, but not now.

  2. O'reilly got the hell outta Toronto because he didn't like the spotlight. He ain't going to the habs.

  3. I mean at that age RoR is not worth much. Preds best bet would be at next year trade deadline where people overpay for these players.

  4. I would only trade Mailloux to move up in the draft .
Not sure if he has a future with the Habs anyway . Reinbacher is going to be filling Savard’s spot next year and I really don’t think they will want their d-squad to have 2 rookies and a sophomore .
They should swing for the fences and try to get Marner .
Marner would be perfect for Demidov .

  5. Tell why the habs always have to give up 2-3 pieces to get 1?
He's to old. Not enough good years left in his career. I would not give 3-4 pieces to get Crosby either. Crosby has 2 or 3 yrs left. Not enough left in his career to give up many key components from the habs

  6. Can you tell me how many right shot D are there in the whole Montreal Canadiens organisation ? The answer is 3: Carrier, Reinbacker and Mailloux. Now why should the Habs trade Mailloux? If they are going to trade a defenceman it is logical to think they’ll trade one on the left hand side instead

  7. Nope… Any player over 30yo right now is not a good fit, unless its short term to fill a temporary void. Plus I would not let Mailloux go for a patch, it needs to be for a long term player on the team and even if its part of a package deal.

  8. This is not even a debate. O'Reilly is old getting older quickly and trending downward. If history has taught the Canadiens anything it's never trade your prospect dmen for a quick fix. We all saw what happened with McDonagh and Sergachev
