  1. Keep the pick and get a legit defenseman. Slavin style. Hopefully, Sullivan is more adept at developing young talent.

  2. Their developmental staff is horrible at creating prospects look at lafreniere and Kappo Kakko how did that turn out?

  3. Keeping the pick signals faith in the team. No other option. Doesn’t matter either way we don’t develop any of our own players. Gotta love the rangers laying 9 goals on the isles almost immediately after being eliminated from the playoffs.

  4. If you really think you are going to be even worse next year under Sullivan, then why did you hire him? Keep the pick, and possibly trade it if it will help get you a center or defenseman to help now to make sure that you aren't giving the pens a top 20 pick next year. Imagine giving the pens the 12th pick to keep next year's pick just to draft 22nd next year… if you keep the pick, you are putting yourself in a position where the only logical thing to do is tank, otherwise you gave away a better pick then you needed too.

  5. I think they will give the pick up this year. They don't have a 1 or 2 for next year and if they believe this past season was a fluke and that they will be a top team again they need to keep picks to have something to trade with come deadline time. Also Drury didn't sign a long term deal here and he is under the gun. He doesn't have time for picks to develop and no one going 12th will be able to help the team now. So unless he has a trade in place with this years pick and someone else on the current roster to get a player who can help now he will give this years pick up to at least have some assets to trade next year. Teams do not usually give up roster players at deadlines to get rentals but picks and prospects are the way to improve come deadline time.

  6. If it were up to me I would give up this year's 12th pick. In the event that the Rangers have a bad season next season and end up in the draft lottery pick I would want them to have their pick in what is expected to be a stronger draft class than this season. I of course hope the Rangers are competitive next season.

  7. We gave up a first round pick for JT Miller? Wow. We drafted JT Miller, shipped him out for nothing and then gave up a 1st round pick to bring him back. So, we spent two first round picks on JT Miller, a slightly above average center. This organization is a complete joke. FIRE DRURY!!!!

  8. Keep the pick. NHL players take so long to develop, it won’t matter. This is not the NFL. Plus the odds are that we will be better next year. Don’t care about missing 1 and 2. It will be ok

  9. Pkg Kpoke and the first to slide down…. Use the pik !!!!!!!
Next year cant be as bad as this year, then give pitt next yes pick that will be 16-25

  10. So who made playoffs this year that the one year older, one year slower Rangers are going to overtake???
Montreal? Ottawa? Florida? New Jersey? Those are the bottom four who made playoffs.

  11. Just give up this year's pick and get it over with. Weaker draft class, and if they improve and end up picking later next year, it'll will likely yield the same same level of talent. Plus, what if they are crap again and then owe Pittsburgh a 1st round LOTTERY pick next year, and they win #1 overall? McKenna could be a generational player. That would be a nightmare.
