Draisaitl did that on purpose, he's as skilled if not more so than McDavid, all skills considered. It's just that McDavid is so skilled at faster speeds than Leon. I think they are 1a+ and 1a.

Biggest mistake is nobody plastered him along the walls in the neutral zone. They just let him continue to skate unimpeded, make a play high to low, and continue on around the net..
