  1. Oilers are the comeback kings. It almost as if they allow the other team to play their game, take it all in, make a few adjustments here and there, then turn it up to 11. I didn’t like knoblach( idk how to spell it) but the more I watch oiler games I gotta say he is a hell of a coach bc that isn’t just the team making things happen. They clearly adjust to different styles of hockey throughout the game and then eventually smother their opponents. Coming from someone that wants the oilers to lose I gotta respect the grind.

  2. I always find it more fun when the road team wins the first game, it makes that second game all the more important for the home team, and we get some more desperate hockey.

  3. Guys, I’m fairly new here. My 11 year old stepson plays youth hockey so I’ve recently become a fan of the nhl and subsequently this channel along with him.

Is it the shakallama? The shock-and-llama? 😂

    What’s it for?!

  4. Nice to see the Oilers play defense without Eckholm playing. Does anyone know anything about the injury to Eckholm…will he be back sooner than later?

  5. Draisaitls filthy goal and Connor Browns individual effort are the biggest plays of this game. The oilers are something else when they show up to play.

  6. Connor Brown is a real puzzle to me. He's alright for the regular season. But he sure seems to elevate his game a whole lot for playoff time. Then you think he might carry some of that to the next regular season, but he doesn't really. But then the next year, he ups his game again. I always cheer for guys like this. I hope they re-sign him another year if they can.

  7. Vegas last night looked like the 2nd game against the wild. Passing off. Holding the ouch rather then shooting at the net. Hill had maybe one that was his fault. Altogether a frustrating game at home. Be better vgk. Gotta step up 3rd line. 4th line.

  8. Vegas "fans" really showing how empty the arena will be if the team isn't good 😂 down 2 goals with 2 mins left and there was no one left

  9. Oilers speed being honed by a very fast la team makes veges look slow to the oilers eye's speed kills especially with skill so I'm waiting for game 2 is this a one off for Vegas or are they wearing cement shoes if they are this series will be over fairly fast

  10. as a rangers fan, its my hope a Canadian team can win the cup. Im pulling for Jets 1st, Leafs 2nd, Oilers 3rd, with Dallas at 4th (sorry hockey guy)

  11. As a Vegas fan I'll be the first to admit they might still have work to do replenishing the wingers that were lost this year; replacing/elevating so many depth guys is starting to show. A number of older guys like Kolesar and Roy have rarely produced those heavy pressure shifts this postseason they constantly were a few years ago (Smith coming back was nice but he definitely doesn't still have it); it was there against Minny too they just didn't have the depth to exploit it. Edmonton (and for sure Dallas) do. Maybe they have a bunch of gas still in the tank (and for some reason haven't used it yet) but a number of guys looked incapable of keeping up with Edmonton once they got going. It's compounded by Stone/Doro/Hertl already being the style of players that aren't as fast.

They've gotten more out of the depth guys than almost any team could but inevitably depth guys can't stay elite forever; might still need to get younger/faster.

  12. McD with a relatively quiet 2 pt night and is now leading all players in the postseason. Doesn't seem like he's playing out of his mind or trying too hard. Seems sustainable. You love to see it!

He's now 50th all time career playoff points and 8th of active players. 1 pt behind Corey Perry, who is also working his way up the all time lists with strong performances this year.

  13. Didnt mention the goal tender interference. Or the friendly fire high stick. (Other then "powerplay vegas") the friendly fire high stick wasnt a penalty just a stopage

  14. Edmonton is a shock to me and Im sure a few others. I never expected them to beat the Kings but in the end they dominated them in the last 3 gamed. This game was another similar game for the Oilers, get outplayed early then come back and control the game and win. Edmonton might be blessed this year because the unlikely is becoming the norm for them.

  15. After the trade deadline I was convinced that the Oilers were not finishing higher than third and would be beat by LA in round 1… I’m ecstatic at being only half right!

In that spirit, I also predicted that the Oilers could not beat Vegas sans Ekholm. Hoping I am just as accurate this round 😛

  16. If Vegas loses this series do you think Butch's job is on the line? (Bruins fan who is still upset that sweeneely fired him)
