If the game 4 team shows up for 6 and 7 then we go to round 2 and will honestly crush whomever we face. This has been dubbed a WCF for a reason.
Any other draw, the Stars and Avs would stomp those teams.
Not sure the rest of the NHL will have a lot of fear and awe of Av's players if things go poorly in game 6. If the best players in the league can't get out of round 1 two years running they certainly won't be held in as high regard as they used to be. Prove me wrong Av's.
If Dallas can keep good forward gap on the forcheck and through the neutral zone it’s going to be a good game. I anticipate the Avs will be on the trot from the jump.

The refs, blackouts, and the NHL themselves have me not caring at all anymore. Why watch a game you know is not genuine?
It’s like the NHL is so far up it’s own butt that it ensures the league will NEVER break through in any metric.
We have the two best players and Val put us through hell the past two years. If Val doesn't wake up tomorrow and start playing with passion , I would like him traded away . He has been more trouble than he is worth. Wake up and do something VAL, NOW!!!
I hate to say it, but a first round exit has been the writing on the wall for this team ever since November. Everything that they did at the deadline was trying to delay the inevitable. They traded one of the highest playoff points scorers for an alleged "26" best player in the NHL. Then they change core center group of the team 6 weeks before the playoffs begin. This team was doomed to lose in the first round, didn't matter if it was Dallas, Vegas, or Winnipeg.
Av’s don’t advance past round one or two for the third year in row. Time to cut players and managers.
The only thing I have to add to this conversation is thank fucking god its not on ESPN. Those announcers are fucking terrible.
one thing to keep in mind with the awards announcements. the voting is already done. when they announce the 3 "finalists" all they're really doing is saying who the top 3 vote getters are. there is no more voting once the finalists are named.

If the Avs just had half the effort in game 5 that they had in game 4, we would've had a good chance to win.
Stars have two games to win one, so I don't see the Avs advancing, unfortunately. I hope I'm wrong, of course, but we've been inconsistent all year.

I disagree with Chris's take on how Dallas will play. Their MO is to pounce hard and fast in games like this. I think they'll want an early goal to quiet the crowd and get in Blackwood's head. We'll see if they can do it. Should be a good game. Go Stars!
If they get kicked out, one must question also the coaching staff. This would be the third time in recent history that they would have lost a playoff series against Dallas and it should make you think, especially it follows last year’s script, the Avs win game 1 and then …..
