I couldn't have said it better. You always seem to read my mind. I've been calling Bennett a dirty player for years! This is the last straw. Put Reaves in the lineup and dummy Sam! And yes how would Paul like it if this happened to Bob? I would be willing to bet we'd hear some SERIOUS crying then eh? Enough! Just beat them in the series. And shout out to the refs " Stop letting the Panthers away with murder!"
Hey Steve, it sucks when a player takes a run at a goalie and hurts your teams chances of making it further in the playoffs. Like Maple Leafs' Nick Kypreos taking out Grant Fuhr in 1996, which would eventually lead to the next round where Steve Yzerman takes a harmless slapshot fromt he blueline but it beats backup Jon Casey and ends the Blues' best chance at a Cup ever to that point.
Like yeah, Bennett should be suspended. 100%. And the league should probably just start handing out suspensions like candy for running goalies. (Hey, did anyone notice a Jets player do this exact thing to Binnington in Game 7 btw? No, no you didn't. Binnington was fortunate to have no been hurt. This time. But Kadri was a thing.)
But like, darn it all if this isn't just some "goes around, comes around" for something that happened in 1996.
Whichever Ref (of the two that were there last and in 2023) was in the corner watching Bennett "Sucker Elbow" Stolarz in the head, starts to bring his whistle up and then I guess he remembers he's not supposed to call that (at the very least!!!) a penalty!?!?
Call a "5" and review it!!! As Paul said, he clearly saw it! Why would he put the whistle away?!? Brutal.

I'm going to sound like a broken record here but why can't each team select 5 or 6 refs where they can refuse to ever have them officiating their games.
Wes McCully would be a given for the Leafs but now I see Chris Rooney and Graham Skilliter should never, ever look after a Leafs game again too.

7:28 all 32 teams have ownership in the nhl, so i find it really hard to believe all 31 other teams would be okay with the nhl rigging it for the florida panthers. campbell worked in the office of the blue jackets for 4 years, where was this theory then? where is the parros conspiracy with anaheim, or the habs or the bruins? of which he played more games for those teams than he did the florida panthers. this is a weak theory and i find it genuinely in bad faith you are pushing this. if you truly believe your team is being conspired against forever why watch hockey? No team besides the florida panthers will ever win according to this argument, so why watch at all?
