St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong reflects on the 2024-25 season during a press conference at Enterprise Center on May 6, 2025.
Team has a bright future. Need a big body on the back-end that plays on the first pairing but is more focused on clearly the net front. Then fix the 5 on 6.
Will be an interesting off-season. I think one of Faulk or Leddy is gone. Resign Faksa. Extend Fowler. Give Hoefer a 3 year bridge contract. Keep Kyrou. Try to land a top-4 D man.
Im so proud of these boys. Even when we lose lately…..its a respectful loss. That wasnt the case for the last 2-3 years. We've turned around. We made playoffs when everyone wrote us off. We skated and fought hard against the president's trophy winners as WC2. If you asked me 6 months ago i wouldve said no chance. The future is bright. Lets go Blues.
That 6 on 5 crap was insane. I am shocked with all the brilliant minds on this Blues team, it was even tolerated as well as not resolved. The Jets head coach knew at the 3 min mark left, pulling their keeper, they could become the Wild West. I love our Blues but this last series, we lost it ourselves. Love our Blues
Army is the best GM this team has ever had. Constantly recognized for great trade and buying decisions, and what a great young core drafted and developed.
Got a few changes that need to be made, most importantly we need to make a decision on our defense. Faulk and Leddy and not reliable enough to play on this team. I would still take Faulk over Leddy if we had a pick between the 2
Use that anger and bitterness to end the issues you are having and to get better. Pay back your fans next year with overwhelming success. Don't let us down when it counts again.

Faulk must have a pretty long leash.

I thought the Blues could have won the cup this year. They were my pick to come out of the west.
Heartbreaking collapse there in game 7.

Suter gave them everything that they could want and…he deflected a momentum changing puck into his own net.
Why this guy continues to get a pass is beyond me.

Best GM in Blues history. Certainly the most honest.

Faulk HAS to be better defensively. You can’t have too many fourth forwards on the back end.
Hear me out Mitch Marner or even Ellis Peterson and maybe buy out Krug
They did everything to close that game out EXCEPT MANAGE THE DAMN CLOCK!!!
Did the Jets score any goals in this series that WEREN'T DEFLECTED IN? It was RIDICULOUS bad luck.
