QUESTION OF THE DAY — Who Do YOU Want To See The Blackhawks Select With The 3rd Pick in the 2025 NHL Draft?
Happy with martone, frondell, desnoyers, hagens but im kinda leaning towards o'brien. Maybe trade back if thats your guy
Money is on Frondell being the pick. Feels like hagens has no shot at it.
Fix audio
You’re breaking up 😮😮😮😮
Martone or Desnoyers
McQueen….
I feel like teams will regret skipping on hagens
Bring ilya safonov over from the khl and take hagens. Colton dach looks like a good power forward. Spellacy and pridham fitting the mold too. Boisvert will be ready after this next year of college too. Or could see the hawks traiding one of our many LHD and pick swap with the sharks if isles go D 1st overall
I think we still go with the best available and who has the highest ceiling and I think that’s James Hagens. I understand the size argument, but draft day is only one method of acquiring players. We can get size in free agency or via trades. I wouldn’t be extremely upset with some of the other guys projected around 3, with bigger size, but I think Hagens has the highest ceiling
Porter Martone, he’s got size and has a nasty streak, he skates as well or better than the Tkachuk bros
Caleb Desnoyer, he checks most of the boxes that Martone has, plus he is, by all accounts a high character kid, an attribute valued by the Hawks these days.
Porter Martone all day. Big, skilled, i am confident his skating will improve, and he will learn to use his physicality in a productive manner. He'll be a top line difference maker.
I also liked the new lottery! Somewhat confusing though.
Pick Michael Misa if he is still on the board at 3. If Misa is gone, I'd prefer Porter Martone.
More insight on Anton Frondell – he is playing with one of THE intragual shutdown forward in Hawks cup runs…Marcus Krueger
I woukd personally go O'brien at 3 but I'm in the minority.
The things that confuse me:
1. I don't understand why Schaefer's draft stock didn't drop when he got hurt but McQueen's did. I still really like McQueen and would love to possibly trade back into the top 10 to snag him.
2. Hagens draft stock dropped but he's still ultra talented and had a really good year in college.
3. I seriously don't understand the love for Frondell – he's only 6'0 so its not like hes got real size, his showing at u18 was mid and his numbers in Hockey Allsvenskan were also not amazing. Why is everyone obsessed with him? I'd rather take Misa, Martone, Hagens, McQueen, Eklund and maybe even Jake O'Brien over him. I just don't get the hype.
IMO I THINK THAT NYI TAKE HAGENS FIRST HOMETOWN KID AND MISA FALLS TO US BUT IF NOT HAGENS OR MARTONE
hope the Hawks can get michael misa he wil be a very good player plays both ends well
Hagens is the wrong fit for tge Hawks…Another small but skikjed forward. I doubt he pkays C inthe NHL…Will have to pkay wing.. Anotger smalk wing…no easy!
Desnoyers pkayed a lot of wi g for Moncton this year but should be a goid 2C given he is a great defensive player …but Brady Martin pkayed C for the Soo akk season but pkayed on the wing AND was a Wow at thevu18s.
Martone has size physicality and skill…maybe the highest co.pete in the draft and the best hitter in the draft…Onlyv4 goals less than Martone this season in see #of games.. Martobe had more assits..But I think Martone had better cast around him than Martin.
You gotta love Brady Martin…Plays bigger than his 6'0 178 lbs..but should add to a big boned frame..This kid is a hockey pkayer in so many aspects..you want to go to war with this guy..
O'brien has the longest runway with a June 2007 birthdate and may have the highest ceiling once he fills out…
Drsnoyers is the best defensive forward i the draft and scores well too.
Roger Mcqueen= too risky due to i jury..
Anyway you should add Brady Martin to the list ..even as high as #3..
Just deduct Hagens and Fribdelk from the mix.Tgey do not fit.
Trade this pick
Loved the live draft thing except when they interviewed the islanders gm during the second ball drawing
