Goalie is the one position that should not have to be concerned with unwarranted contact from opposing players. For that reason, and the fact that Stolarz was injured by Bennet, Bennet should be suspended until Stolarz is able to return to the lineup.
If you look at it in the video review you can see that it looks like it’s not that hard of a hit. But what you have to consider is that when you are hit from the side or back when you don’t expect it, it can be quite the shock. Ever bump your head on something just really lightly but it hurts and angers you? At normal speed video it is a decent hit.

So many trying to say leaf fans are just looking for an excuse to complain….they won the game! And if your starting goalie of whatever team you are a fan of had this happen to them, in the playoffs at the start of a series….you wouldn't feel the same? There are those who are exaggerating it or ignoring it, but, he was not forced into stolarz, and he had complete control of wether he made contact or not. Did he throw a full on elbow? No…but, it was intentional, and it caused a serious injury. Those are the facts no matter what side you are on. It only makes things worse for Bennet because of his history. But if he doesn't want to be accused of doing this intentionally, he needs to make a decision to continue to play on the line or ease off before (well, too late now) he seriously hurts someone

Reminds me of the Bennett sucker punch on Marchand last playoffs. That hit didn’t look too bad either until the other camera angle came out.
