Free agents and trades for upgrades, Montreal is in a great position to get their guys.
as a habs fan myself lets not forget that if the rangers didnt crash montreal wouldn't have made the playoffs. now it was on the habs to make it there but i dont think in a regular season they would of made it.
Dach can't be relied upon for 2C, he is just too brittle, a real shame, but they have to get a 2C this summer.

Habs should go after Bo Horvat – plays with pace, strong (100 hits last yr, rarely injured), avg 3 SOGs per game last 2 yrs, a great face-off guy (58%) and he will score 30+. Turned 30 yrs old in April, signed for $8.5MM through 2031

Dach is a winger not a responsible centre. Maybe on a line with Laine. But even Laine is not on 2nd line.
Need a 2C, some Rd's, get rid of some LD's (need balnce) need size and toughness
I think it's valid to say that management is satisfied by this season, but I don't think you can say that with the players.
NHL players don't see things like us. In their mind they always have a shot at winning, so I doubt they are ''satisfied'' with losing in the 1st round.
Has a fan, I am thrilled with the results of this season.

Dobes is a great young goalie that can carry any team to the post-season. Lets trade him for a 2nd line centerman (Dach be damned).
giant leap forward? i dunno — a lot of holes in the line up as shown in last 5 games of reg & round 1. too many holes – doubt they will make playoffs in 2025/26. yes they are tracking in the right direction but still 2 – 3 years from making playoffs and making headway
Possible to have Michael Hage join when Michigan's seasosn ends in 2026. I believe he is out future #2 C
Package your 2 first round picks, Joshua Roy, david reinbacher, for tage thompson and bowen byram
Hutson will power the backend offensively and Ivan will do the same up front.
That alone – and there will be holes in other spots, but that alone will be mean another big step in overall firepower.

There are big holes on second line and defense and goaltending is suspect. There were many long runs of hot and cold goaltending.
They do not have a deep bench or size.
They are still rebuilding.
