Max Domi picked up the first penalty of the second round for this “crosscheck” to Brad Marchand after the whistle. I can’t see this standard being maintained but a guy can dream I guess.

Marchand's cross check on Domi, not to mention the one on Holmberg and Carlo, is far worse. No one's standard should make that a penalty. Or, at least, no standard should make that the only penalty.
This call would be brutal enough in the regular season, but in the second round of the playoffs, it is a joke. For this to be any kind of call at all, there would need to be the same standard applied all game, so the players know where the line is. This is the same ref team that watched Sam the slam smash rookie Knies' head into the ice a couple of playoffs ago. The same ref that watched Sam the slam give Stolarz the forearm shiver and thought that play was just fine. This league is ran by a bunch of effing clowns.
If this is the standard the game should have seen hundreds of cross checking penalties during the game. We’re still looking to find the phantom cross check. This had everything to do with the fact the Leafs were flying and the refs needed to call a penalty to change the momentum of the game.
The irony of them " setting the tone " and missing the sucessful attempt ti injure by Bennett on Stolarz (standard operating procedure for thugs like Bennet and tkacuk ) is staggering. The refereeing this year and this playoff is absolute trash. The NHL is like todays stock market – a whores market.
