  1. Some real doomers in the fanbase for picking 2nd overall. Schaefer or Misa will be great players at positions the Sharks are already stacked at. 🤙hoping for Misa personally.

  2. Anton Frondell, Come on down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Let me dream here… Hawks were so agressive to try and get the number 4 pick last year. Hawks jump the Sharks and trade up to number 1 to take Misa. Sharks take Schafer, NYI take Hagens at 3.

  4. Shaefer might still be a possibility even if remote. There are some rumors going around that Islanders might actually go Hagens largely due to him being the hometown kid and an Islander fan.

  5. You've got Edmonton's first round pick, the first pick in the second round and an additional second round pick.

  6. #2 is beautiful 🙏….. Just as good as one because both are just as good at their respective positions…. MISA and Celebrini whoa!!!! Sharks just keep stacking talent… Besides… Did Islanders say definitively they’re take Shaeffer??? What are their needs? I’m good with Misa. 👍

  7. 30 other teams would love to be in the Sharks position. They are still in the running for Mc Kenna next year

  8. Best outcome we could have hoped for. Misa this year and McKenna next! Think about the line combos:

    McKenna Celebrini Musty
    Misa Smith Chernyshov

    Wow!

  9. I honestly don’t mind this at all. It’s still not a surefire thing that Smith works out at center getting Misa gives us the flexibility to move him to wing if needed. It also gives us one of the most stacked top sixes in the league in a couple of years.

  10. I'm not disappointed that Sharks got the 2nd pick because we know next year Sharks will be in contention for a top pick next year and the 2026 class will have McKenna. Also, per NHL rules teams can't have pick 1st in the draft no more than 2 times in five years if they get the 1st pick this year they won't get the opportunity for 1st pick next year. I rather get the 2nd pick this year and have the opportunity in the lottery next year to potentially land the 1st pick next year.

  11. If the Islanders really want Misa, but know the Sharks want Schaefer, they can trade down with the Sharks for the #2 and Dallas #1. Islanders get another 1st round pick for nothing.

  12. The only trade down I think makes sense to me right now is to send #2 to Detroit for #13 and Sandin-Pelikka. Then try to move up a little from #13. Detroit needs a true center of the future and the Sharks need that RD

  13. Honestly the top 5 guys all seem like they have similar floors and ceilings. At the end of the day we’re getting a high end top 6 player. Can’t ever complain about that.

  14. I just didn’t like how they did it with the time clock. Just pull the ping pong balls to see who picks first.

  15. Islanders fan here… I hope we get Misa, we have been lacking goal scoring for a very long time, I don't think and I hope the islanders don't pick Schafer I really hope the pick Misa 100%

  16. Misa is a better 2 way player than Smith. Sucks to miss out on Schaefer but NYI might take a center instead since they have no 1C in pipeline while Dobson showed sign of 1D previously. NYI also had a hard time scoring and Misa is closer to making the NHL. They also have a new stadium to fill. Lastly, Eklund is a trade piece if they take Misa with Mac/Smith already. Don't get too attached to Eklund.

  17. So!!! Excited about this! I low key have wanted Misa over Schaefer all season anyway, so this is best case scenario in my mind… and if the islanders take Misa… non-issue taking Schaefer

  18. Only way I’ll be pissed is if they take martone or frondell at 2.. don’t be cute it’s misa:/ Schaefer or bust

  19. I think we need to forget about shaefer. The islanders have ritchie and eiserman for their future forward core, they need a schaefer on the blue line.

Nevermind. However, having misa would be amazing alongside smith celebrini and eklund. It allows either snith or misa to revert to rw, id prefer smith to play on the wing.

  20. I wonder if Boston whose prospect pool is lacking would trade #7 for all our 25 picks other than #2. That is a lack 1st and 2 2nds plus a 3rd, 2 4ths, a 5th, and a 7th.

Misa and likely Eklund would be a homerun. Boston likely says no though.

  21. My 5 year old son slit his wrist on when climbing over a fence and fell onto a rubble pile. It was the scariest day of my life and I still think about it hourly about how blessed he is to be alive and how he didn't hit anything serious.

It is a miracle that William Eklund is alive. Truly a miracle. Forget the sport and the money and wins. This guy could have died and it would have been heart breaking for his family, his friends, the sharks, and the hockey world. Whatever your beliefs are, this is a miracle and I thank God this dude is ok.

(I haven't even listened yet, I heard about Eklund last night at work and couldn't stop thinking about it. Maybe because I have seen a wrist slice first hand, but I am truly grateful he is alive and had to share it somewhere.)
