Never mind… this is single handedly the weirdest draft of all time… first not a consensus first overall and I don’t even wanna know what the hell this is with Utah and NYI.
To everyone confused: Here are the simple rules.
– It’s basically high stakes bingo There are 1,000 available four number combos.
– Every team got a certain percentage of the random number combos based on how much they lost.
– They draw 4 numbers, and whoever had that number combo on their assigned “bingo card” won the draft lottery.
This is how they always do it, but they usually do this part in secret with representatives and then announce the results, and put this part of it on YouTube later.
And here comes the completely stupid and baseless “rigged” conspiracy theories in 5…4…3…2…1…
Those who didn’t understand. There was a link to all combinations of the balls being drawn on the NHL Website. I study it. And I completely understand how it works. It was to fun to watch to be quiet honest.

I’m an Isles fan. Obviously I’m happy with how things turned out, but I gotta say I like this new format even aside from that. Seeing the new probabilities after the first 3 balls hyped me up and I’m sure it did the same for Pens and Flyers fans as well. Made watching that much more intense.
The whole card countdown is cleaner but this is definitely more edge of your seat viewing.

They need to have an actual State lottery without an NHL team run the lottery. Nobody from the NHL is allowed on the game floor and the State lottery validates and announces.
