1 team was in trench warfare and the other played the pond hockey Avs, stars cakewalk to a 4-2 series win cause the jets are sooooo banged up
All Dallas has to do is be 1% better than St Louis right?
I think Dallas wins, especially if Heiskanen and Robertson play, coupled with Morrissey and Scheifele injured. But I would love to see Winnipeg win the series.

Two really good teams. I'm going for Dallas, but it's going to be a good series.
So up front I'm going to say I'm a Red Wings fan if it wasn't obvious by the profile picture. I would love the Stars if it weren't for Jamie Benn because I'm petty and I do not like him at all, putting it mildly. That being said unless Hellebuyck returns to regular season form I can't see this going more than 5, especially if Morrissey and Scheifele are out. The Stars are a wagon right now.

Well, there’s no one else to Root for except Dallas, now that Minnesota, Montreal, Ottawa, and the Kings and St. Louis are out.
The only 3 teams I can stomach rooting for now is; DALLAS AND Craig Berube 😅 and the Panthers 😅!!
Man, I still don’t understand how Winnipeg held an AMPED UP scoring team like the St.Louis Blues SCORELESS throughout the whole 3rd Period AND IN DOUBLE OT without any PENALTIES 😲😳😲🤬🤔, that seems impossible. One things for sure, the jet’s are worn out, they fought extra hard and Chippy to BARELY BEAT the Blues in every game in Winnipeg. I’ll never root for any team that has to CHEAT to Win. There’s NoWay Winnipeg could beat the Blues straight up fair and square and they know it.
Can you imagine if the Stars win the cup and Rantanen gets the Conn Smythe? Definitely would make the GM for the Stars look like a genius and the GM’s for the Av’s and Canes might look a little foolish.
How many Presidents Trophy winners have been knocked out in round one?

Winnig is going to win this series just by being physical. Dallas has that weak and soft Finnish mafia and that is a recipe for failure.
I'm not really into prognostication. What I enjoy most is watching the best of 7 series unfold between 2 teams, sometimes the hatred builds up pretty good like the hard hitting series with St. Louis. In the end, as always, the handshake procession.
I think people have overlooked how much of a cascade effect Heiska's absence has had on Dallas's roster. Cody flippin' Ceci has been their first-pair RHD. He played a full two minutes a night /more/ against COL than he did all season with an abysmal Sharks roster—let that sink in. Harley & Lindell certainly earned their pay against the Avs.
Oettinger had trouble with the Jets this season, sure, but if you zoom in on a four-game sample size, you're usually going to get extreme results on one end or the other. Prior to this season he absolutely owned the Jets, 5-1-1 with a .924 Sv%. Hellebuyck is the better goalie, but either netminder is entirely capable of standing on his head and stealing this series by himself. Especially (again) in a small sample of games.
People were understandably so dazzled by the Rantanen trade that they overlook the fact that (1) Dallas got Granlund too, who isn't exactly a scrub, and (2) this superteam Jim Nill has built has played precisely zero games together as of yet, thanks to Miro's injury—we haven't seen the Stars at remotely full power yet. If 4 & 21 get healthy early in the series, I think that's the ultimate difference. If they can't get into the series early, Dallas might find themselves in too big a hole to dig out of.
Hopefully Dallas can keep that dog benn on a leash.
Don't want to see cheap shots that injure players, a benn playoff standard.

I have Winnipeg over Dallas in 7 but i have very little confidence in that pick. Just a hunch that Hellebuyck finds his game and outplays Oettinger. Just a hunch.

Blues fan here, I watched the Toronto vs FLA game tonight. If the Jets thought the Blues played dirty and physical (as if they didn't) watch (or rewatch) the Toronto vs FLA game and then pull up your big boy pants if you have to play either – because it was virtually a none-stop beating/brawl that each team put on the other – including, but not limiting, to hitting/elbowing one (or more) players in the back of their heads, and so forth. If the Blues/Jets series was a 7.5 on the intensity/physicality scale, the Toronto vs. FLA game started and finished at 9.5!!!
If dallas gets heiskanen and robertson back, this series wont last that long
I'm sort of with you on this, although I lean Jets, not Stars. But I would love to see whichever team wins this series to be the one to take it all this year.
I cannot think of a series where a goalie played 7 games, with a .830 save percentage during that series, and still won.
My thought is, both teams defeated formidable challengers in round 1, so congrats to both. I'd like Winnipeg but defeat by Dallas wouldn't be as bad as defeat from St Evil.
I really don’t think Oettinger struggled at all, I think he looked phenomenal. The game he was pulled would have been 9-0 at the end of the second if it weren’t for him.
The goals he did give up were “lucky bounces” or just elite goalscorers doing what they do best. The stars defense left otter out to dry a few times last series but he still kept them in games they had no reason being in.

I wouldnt say its fair to say dallas isnt a hitting team their series was just different than the one the jets had. Stars can play physical
