Once again the Red Wings get screwed in the draft lottery. The last time the Wings picked at 13 was in 1964 with their pick Ralph Buchanan a defenseman who never played an NHL game.

What a crap season for the Preds. Contender aspirations in the offseason (even if over zealous). Regular season was… well crap. Then getting shafted by being the only bottom 3 team moved out of the top 3 and into 5th. What a waste of a season.

I don’t if it’s everyone that is dumb as hell in this comment section or I’m sort of a genius. There’s nothing complicated with this lottery format. There’s 1000 combination and each teams in the lottery needs to draw a unique set of 4 numbers ranging from 1 to 14 for them to win. The Sharks being ranked last this season had the most possible amount of combinations while the Flames the least amount of combinations. It just happened that 7-11-12-13 was the Islanders’s combination thus they won the lottery
So this is the 5th time the Islanders pick first. The number of times Vancouver has picked first? how about ZERO!!!
