It isn’t bad tbh we have a shit at McKenna and we have a shot at the top 2 clear favorites
By the end of next year the top two lines might be Toffoli/Smith/Celebrini and Eklund/Misa/Chernyshov and that sounds dope to me.
If you told me going into this that we could just pick #2 and not risk falling to #3, I'd have taken it hands down.

While Misa would be great…
Grier should be on a white hot seat to sign quality defense players in summer now that the plan to get Schaefer has crashed hard. Because having the worst defense in the NHL for a 3rd straight year is just not tolerable.
I'm happy with the results. The odds were higher dropping to #3 than #2. Seems like the cream of the crop is between Schafer and Misa so now the decision of who to draft is made easier at pick #2.
Of all the teams that could win the lottery, the Islanders makes me the least upset, besides us winning obviously.
