Great analysis, and I’m just amazed how Paul Maurice in such a short amount of time has probably found the right spot for Marchand that has contributed so much in this series. Who would have thought Marchy , Eetu & Lundell would be a match made in heaven. Give props to Maurice. He really knows his craft. Also Nate Schmitt essentially won them a game . This how you win playoff games.
As a leafs fan, I am confident leafs will be cooked against the panthers. ( if they can even pass the sens). I do believe there is no team in the east that can beat the panthers. Maybe the only team I see potentially beating them is the Avs. But they might also be out vs Dallas. Panthers will win the cup again this year. There is no competition to their line up.

New subscriber here. Found your channel while looking for Panthers/Lightning highlights! Awesome content! I like how you analyze the plays with video replay and talk about the small technical things in hockey that I don't yet know about (e.g. edges of skates, player positioning, etc.). Last year was awesome because we won the Cup, but the 2022-2023 season when the Panthers defied the world was my absolute favorite. I'll never forget the round one series against Boston when we came back from a 1-3 deficit, sent game 7 to OT with a last minute goal with less than a minute on the clock, and took down the team that had the best regular season record in history. I remember Bob stopping the breakaway shot from Marchand to keep us tied. I guess it was so amazing because it was so unexpected. Go find the YouTube video called "The 2023 Boston Bruins in a nutshell" by Skilling It Up. His editing skills are great. that video always gives me chills. Can't wait for your next episode HGS!

But here’s the thing it really wasn’t that close at all, let me explain. What the panthers do to their opponents go beyond stats & scoreboards. They are a team that will relentlessly test their opponents mental fortitude, bending them to their will and forcing them to play their game. You can’t put that on a stat sheet or a scoreboard or on film. Being that unpredictable on the ice is what makes them so dangerous. It’s so unironically predatory lol.
I wear the blue and white on my sleeve. Overseas, my unit had the leafs logo painted on a wall in our platoon house. GO leafs Go! That being said, should the Leafs decide to finish the series over the Sens, I highly doubt they have what it takes to to beat Florida. Found your content recently and love your analyses regardless of the matchup. You were also one of the very few non-Panthers fans to pick us to advance from R1. I did not think it would be over in 5 but very glad it was. Tampa is a dangerous team you don't wanna give any extra chances. Luostarinen was having the game of his life last night and Marchand has been so good for us, a seamless match for our team identity 😂 I'm not gonna say I want anyone for R2 because that's arrogant and bad juju, and to go all the way you gotta beat everyone. Whoever it will be out of Ontario, R2 should be a lot of fun. Against Ottawa it would also be more violent I suspect 😂

I remember someone saying in their last video “you have to put junk on the net”👀 That series was intense and can’t wait to see what the cats do next. Marchy has some insane puck handling skills, and then you have to decide whether to hop on him to stop his shot or look out for where he’s going to pass.
My countryman Luostarinen (Eeeetuuuu) had a real nice game. Really proud of the team. I really do hope that Marchand wins another CUP this year. Used to hate the rat himself prior but now I´m the biggest fan of #63.

I'm a Cats fan, and I love that they don't care who they play. Their whole mentality is tell me where and when, and we will show up. Doesn't matter who the opponent is.
And this is what people very often don't understand why Marchy is so good, a complete hockey player. It's literally because he's so damn smart. He reads the plays so well before they even happen. It's because of high/ strong level of his intuition.

Panthers 3-0 without Ekblad. 1-1 with Ekblad. That game 3 was a disaster for him. However the Panthers always lay a turd sandwich in a game or 2 in the series. That gives all the haters a chance to call them frauds and fakes etc. They rely on odds, percentages, and being in the correct positions. Sometimes pucks just don't listen. They bounce funny, players make mistakes that benefit them, and someone just does something that makes no sense and all of a sudden they are down 5-1 in the 2nd. Really don't like that Toronto will have Stolarz in net. Hopefully they do a Leafs thing and put Woll in. This way I can fully route against Toronto. Tampa laid the blueprint, panthers engineered it to match it, and now they are better at being Tampa then Tampa is. Eventually someone will out Panther the Panthers.
Florida they have better overall performance players then Toronto Florida went from scoring always to Defense first then score second
