Bedard is still at least 2 years out of his “prime”, which is a scary thought..
What I loved with Kane was how he always left someone else with a more interesting puck possession… players could pressure him but he would just make them regret it with how he set up team mates. Take Duncan Keith's Cup winning goal in 2015. Kane draws a couple of players inside the blue line and sets up Keith for the chance.
Fleury had a 908 the year he was with you. that's better than any goalie you had since Crawford, show some respect.
Would love to see us in a three-way trade with Tampa Bay and the Islanders. We would send both of our first round picks to the Islanders Barzal and their first round pick. Then we would flip out the Islanders first round pick to Tampa for Howard. With the Islanders going into a rebuild mode, this helps them with two first round picks. This helps jump start our rebuild by giving Connor his dream line mate and Isaac Howard in Tampa gets a top 10ish first round pick to reload that talent pool. What do y'all think?

Straight line speed can be overvalued a bit. Victor Stahlberg was a crazy fast straight line skater and he sucked ass. Athanasi…aaaa – notgonnaworkhereanymore is a crazy fast straight line skater and he kind of sucks.
That’s a lot of maturity from Conner. To decline on playing for Canada and focusing on getting ready for next season. That’s what I love to see. We don’t need Canada media and Canuck fans talking about Bedard.
@Darren Willcox OMG no you do not trade the 3rd or 4th overall pick for Isaac Howard. Martone, Frondell, Hagens are all light years better prospects than Isaac Howard. Howard can be a nice little 3rd line player. Those other guys can be the 3rd or 4th best forward on a contender.
Isaac Howard still can pick where he goes…unless you know (illegal) he wants to be a hawk do you trade a first rounder…and yet you talk about a 2nd rounder as a sweetner 🤡😂🤪……maybe 5 th rounder considering the circumstances

Right, now for the love of God – lets reward Bedard for his proactive team first attitude and self-improvement by acquiring someone on his level he can play with. Obviously Marner is the target and long-term solution, however Patrick Kane would be an ideal "plan B" if Marner passes, and other UFA's are taking their time. If I'm Davidson, Kane would be one of my first targets because Bedard NEEDS someone, and if it's not Marner then Kane isn't a bad consolation prize. That, and I think Kane and Bedard could be absolutely beautiful to watch – not only that – but obviously Kane is older and would probably be thrilled with a 2-year 5 per deal (if that's something he wants)… If the Hawks miss-out on the Marner sweepstakes then they're going to have to find a long-term solution for Bedard via trade, or wait for Kaprizov – either way – if Davidson can get Kane signed, he would certainly work until a long-term solution can be found… The last thing I want to see is Davidson panicking because he missed on all of the UFA's, and then begins handing out long-term deals to guys that aren't what the Hawks need, or handout bad contracts to guys because he feels compelled to do something.. I would target Kane immediately on July 1st just to avoid all of that jazz, or maybe even try to acquire Marners rights, for perhaps a 3rd?? I mean if the Hawks can get a few days head start with Marner by acquiring his rights that would be great, because Davidson would at least know what to do on July 1st.
I really hope Bedard can find a way to get better at the dot. 38% is pretty horrible, needs to get to 50%+

It would have been nice to see him play along Sidney Crosby and Nate McKinnon and pick their brains. I think Bedard could have learned a thing or two from them.
