Build Back Bigger …..No free agents required ! They ain't free as they choke the build
Go get Crosby. Get the man. The man is a winner and is still very productive. He's a leader and would be great with Demidov and Laine if Laine remains with the team.
Horvat contract is not appealing at all. No thx unless they retain some of the salary. It takes him well into retirement years. Plus Horvat never won a cup. If were gonna pay a premium and for longer than we will get a decent return and not get a veteran that has won before is not ideal. If this is the only option maybe but there will be other options.
Losing Primeau to an NHL team would be good for the habs… 4 Free wins
Been big on Bo
Fowler is looking good. He might start in the AHL next year but will come up and stay mid season. McTavish would be great. Go get him!!
MTL should sign Brock Nelson on a 1 year deal. Perfect 2nd line center 6"4 200 plus.
I would love to have Horvat on Les Habitants!
He's always been one of those players I wished we had on our side. His play style reminds me of a Gally…I think it would be a perfect fit.
Even with the contract…management have done so well with the long term contracts with our core and the salary cap increasing…I would love to welcome him to the group.
This off season is gonna be a wild ride…just like our past season. Keep the ride going!!!
So excited for the future!!!
Keep the videos coming guys! I know I'll watch every one if them and this community appreciates everything you both add to our love of the Habs!!!
GHG!!!
Also…lol my choice would be a special Habs hat.
See ya tomorrow!!!
Don't resign any of the small players. Team is too small
Get Sydney Crosby and give pits our two first round picks, we get another suzuki (production/skill wise) and fix our 2c role all while having a leader and captain added to our rooster for the next 3 years is and sounds like a steal to me. Mctavish is also a good option but will cost more due to the ducks situation (they are like us) and want to build forward not backwards so we aren't compatible for a trade. Plus short term I prefer syd for what he'd bring to our young core and in the locker room and in the playoffs you can't bet against that man. Plus I'm sure he'd love to be a habs and go for another cup run. He's actually pitch perfect for us and so is pits for where they are at and what they want/need
Crosby would be great for the kids.
Demidov t-shirt please
Crosby is a bad idea. TOOOOO old.
Get rid of Laine. Just too slow.
Not big on Bo Horvat. He won’t be on PP1 and in the past two seasons he has 50pts/season without power play time. And he isn’t as good of a two way player as most fans are making him out to. Excellent player nonetheless but for that cap hit for the term he has left at his age just doesn’t fit our timeline. Feels like a forced move. I rather we try to fit in a solid shutdown RD and try to ride out till a better option at 2C is available.
The way Hughes was talking is that he talked to a team about a player who wasn’t on the market but was told to circle back at years end and it could be a possibility! That has me guessing it’s a younger aged player like Mactavish! I’d prefer a more age appropriate 2C who will grow with the core we already have! Even though I’d love to see Crosby in a Habs jersey, you’re going to give up a lot of your future for a couple years of service from him! So makes more sense for a guy like Mactavish !
McTavish would be the dream and if we can over pay for him without moving our key players then I’m all for it. Beck, Mailloux, and picks to start an offer and then add whatever it takes to get it done. Ducks want a veteran forward and D and possibly a starter though so I don’t know if it’s possible unless it’s a multi team trade.
Go get Quinton Byfield ..!! 6'5" …225lbs. CENTER..AGGRESSIVE…22 YRS. OLD ..!!
6.5 MILL. FOR 5 MORE SEASONS …PERFECT.
Mctavish is still development we need a certified 2 center
Horvat he's a good choice
It is not with statistics that we build a winners team but with players who want to win with their hearts and their guts and who have team spirit, so I would not want to have you as general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, we would not make the playoffs…😂😂😂
People need to stop with the Crosby to habs talk… It’s not happening, He’s not going to come here, He will stay a penguin until he retires… IF he does move it will not be to a team that’s as young as Montreal, It will be to a team that is built for a cup right away. Habs are still 3-4 years away from being serious cup contenders.
Also McTavish is a pipe dream as well, If you think Anaheim would be dumb enough to move him then you need to give your head a shake. Carlsson and McTavish are the future for the ducks, That 1-2 punch that you build around and do not think about moving unless you have made the playoffs and it’s not working and you need a change… Like let’s be fucking real here, It’s not happening.
why do you always look at players' stats, stats are for losers who want to rise to others who know hockey, you can look at a player's stats but you have to look at what he can do on the ice for his team, you can't put 5 players with 40 or 50 goals on the same team, it will cause internal bickering and create small separate clans and the team won't win, won't make the playoffs, just Lafleur, Shutt, Lemaire who were able to do it on the same line but they were real brothers in arms and Montreal has had too many small separate clans over the last 30 years, they form a great team of young people who love the team and form a real family, you shouldn't put another Patrick Laine, he's already too much on the team and I think he played his last game in Montreal.. just take Crosby who plays with heart and he's a real winner, just him and we'll win the next Stanley Cup 😂😂😂
My choice is Mactavish. He's young, plays hard, and will continue to improve as a player for years. Horvat is too old because we need a 2nd center that will be here for 8 to 12 years.
How about Mathew Knies,he would be a perfect 2C and his age is the age we want.
Don’t want Farrell even though playing well but he is too small especially with other small players on the Habs
When talking about size you also have to take in to account how often that player is hitting, getting dirty & nasty for puck battles and is relentless on the forecheck. Thats how playoff hockey games are won.
We already have big guys that don’t hit. Anderson was probably the only one throwing his body around. If we’re looking for trades we need future playoff players who can produce but also aren’t afraid of contact and physicality. (Not trying to hit guys occasionally and falling down)
Why would you take a 33 years old 8 million contract does anyone believe hughes is that dumb
