This is what I love about hockey, REFS can give any team multiple opportunities to come back and win a gm but its hockey, you don't need games to 7 game series for ratings!

Seems like whenever a team can shut down Kuch, he decides to force stuff which leads to terrible goals. I hope Lightning does something to bolster our defense and slaps the crybaby out of Kucherov so he can start playing like a superstar in clutch moments

Going into this series I gave the edge to the Panthers hut fully gave the Bolts all the chance in the world to win this series. I didn't think it was going to be this lopsided though. FL looks scary for anyone in these playoffs. They've got a good chance to repeat and make it a 5th straight year the cup stays in the state of Florida lol
Marchand will continue to get better as he elevates his line. Go check the stats…they are all topping. Paul Maurice just plain gets it- all facets of the game. These guys are all getting back (ie after injuries etc) at the level they need to be at. 🏒🥅
I’m a panthers fan, but I gotta acknowledge that Tampa would have done very well playing pretty much any other team in the east, save maybe WSH and TOR. They were very formidable.

Be real dude, that high stick was not a shot attempt. He wasn’t even at the blue line and it was against the wall. They were giving the bolts a chance just like they did when they gave Bennett his 2nd slash on an upswing with his stick.
What a "fight" some very entertainment games well played.

Probably going to be another Oilers vs Panthers or VGK vs Panthers SCF.
I know its early, but Panthers still the most dangerous team in the East I'd say.
I always enjoy your podcasts and reviews. In this review you give credit to amazing players, and plays, from both sides. One player you neglected to mention was Sergei Bobrovsky. The Panthers wouldn't be where they are without him, and he made at least three or four game saving stops to keep the Panthers in the game.
Panthers vs Lightning was the real ECF. Lightning would’ve beaten the Leafs or the Sens in 5-6.
Personally I think the Vegas Knights get out of the West.

I'm a huge Tampa and Kooch fan. I'd love to hear your thoughts on his goals to turnover ratio. Not scoring is one thing but turning over the puck as often as he does kills us 😡 Maybe I'm missing something but fancy passes are great as long as they reach his teammates!! No reason to panic for TB. Use the increased cap to get another solid middle six or bottom six forward. Try to recreate the third line magic from their cups. They don’t need much else. Out in the first round again but it’s been to the best team in the east. Tampa could be better but they’ve also been unlucky with the matchup. (This is what Bettman wants though. Who wants a good conference final instead?). Also, if Ekblad was kicked out like he should have been in game 4, he doesn’t score the GWG. The point is, the margin for error in the playoffs is very thin. FL got swept by TB as a president trophy squad and proceeds to make back to back finals. I don’t see them as being as far off as a first round exit might suggest. The comparisons to Pitt and Det don’t make any sense. They got rid of Stamkos for Guentzal for that exact reason. That’s a fair weather fans take.
The Lightning got outplayed badly for the second straight year by Florida.

As a Tampa fan the story of this series is horrifically blown coverage in front of vassy. Idk what they need to do to fix that but you’re not going to beat any team in the playoffs when you let the opposing teams star players have that much time and space in front of your goaltender that consistently
Here I thought Florida was going to struggle a bit in round 1 because they appeared to be banged up and tired from 2 long playoff runs the past 2 years. Still havent ever correctly guessed the winner of a battle of Florida series 😂

Bruins fan (with bag over head) here too. Also mixed feelings on Marchy. I personally like him as a player and wish him well. But I can not root for Florida. Ever. I wish the 'Canes well (Ive always been a Brind'Amour fan) but I think we are going to see a FLA-WSH east final.
I think Brad Marchand can play on any line on the Panthers, and improve them
