Some problems with your post gm presser nate. The one where you're in shock. Learn the importance of playing defense, that be backchecking. Something that is not in your playbook. Talk to your friend Sid… he backchecks. Knows why you do that. You rarely do. It costs your team when you only want to mostly play offense. Leadership… not something you like to do. Not a fixable thing because one either does or doesn't… So, that's unfortunate but the AVs suffer for that too. Missing Landy, also super unfortunate but dems the breaks. Pouting… when things don't go your way, have developed a rep for pouting when things don't go well. Not a good look when it is repeated… a bit of a negative ding on the leadership thing. Next… gonna be a challenge with a new contract that will suck not available salary cap to more not available. So, there's that. Is also very unfortunate that you have a coach that does not coach you. You two equivocate. In the slivers we see on TV camera, it's unfortunate to watch ya'll's tune out coach. But it shows. Not sure you can be coached any more. Harsh, but an opinion. You would have done much better with better coaches, especially PP coaching. Long sigh. And there's more… but a sad, unfortunate outcome of this is the AVs window likely just closed for any kind of Cup run in the future. No cap space. Thin corps as it is. Aging corps. A coach who for more reasons is not able to crack through to win in the POs, except once. Beds has criticisms due but that could be another launch. So, sorry guy… plenty of criticism to go around. So super glad the AVs were able to gain another CUP in 2022. But a Cup window in the future has all but closed. Long, sad sigh.

Pretty brutal, he is such a great player and a good guy. Still, as a Finn I'm so happy for witnessing this amazing game! I'm pretty sure Rantanen wanted to remain in Colorado, something just went wrong

Dying to see an interview of Avs GM MacFarland on this debacle (as soon as someone can find the rock he's hiding under). Joe Sakic handed him the most perfect team to run as GM and he decides to slowly dismantle it. This game will go down as one of the biggest 'karma' games in NHL history.

MacKinnon is a class act as are the rest of the Avalance team! He never said anything but good things about Mikko after he was traded and the other way around. Mikko never said anything bad about his former team mates he respects them all. Both of these guys and Lande, Makar also are still probably shocked that it ever even happened! What I said couple months back was that GM and management of that team made a HUGE!!! mistake and I'm sorry but I'm really glad that it came to bite them in the butt. I don't blame the coach either he gets a clean sheet from me. But rest of the management that decided that he is not worth 500k more a year… Well all I gotta say is that this cost you way more than just 500k. Stupid and as simple as that! His playoff sheet is phenomenal and every one wrote him out before the playoffs even started. When all the supposedly better players in AVS were gone couple years back he kept AVS floating and even then was hardly recognized for it. He played center, he played what ever was asked of him and AVS fans f'd him over after the trade. Booing even in these games to him… that's what children do. I hope you learned something out of this. He still said nothing bad against Colorado Avalance, players or anyone in that organisation. All my respect to Mikko and him doing things when they are needed the most!
