As an Arizona fan who watched Tocchet’s lack of adaptability leaves a team mired in mediocre results, I don’t see any team, except the most desperate choosing him.
Whenever I hear the phrase “entertainment district” I fear one day someone will utter the phrase “Alex Meruelo was right”.

The team players, management and media need to stop blaming fans by calling Vancouver a toxic market. You are all killing this franchise and making it impossible for the team to bring in free agents or make trades because a lot of players now do not want to come here. To all mentioned above, there is a saying you should live by, "don't shit where you eat".

Tocchet is a quitter. Preached iron meeting iron all season and trashing Pettersson for not fighting when the going gets tough and then leaves the second he has an opportunity. Good fking riddance. Don’t need anyone on this team that isn’t willing to fight for it. Bye

The Canucks fans that have 'bucked up', and supported them… Here's an idea: STOP BUYING TICKETS (supporting them, to give you THIS!), until the current ownership sells the team; it ALL stems from the top.
If Malhotra is doing that well at what he's doing (developing Canucks prospects in Abby), then, LET HIM CONTINUE DOING THAT, for the sake of the team's future! Get a veteran coach in for the big team; not this lazy and unproductive answer, promoting Malhotra, and possibly screwing up both teams! Rookie coaches in Vancouver have not had a great track record (do I really need to list them?)

Sorry but the travel schedule for the Canucks is pretty weak. All the east coast teams need to travel west just as much as Vancouver travels east. Same with California teams. All teams are north of the FL Panthers so that travel schedule doesn't seem to be causing them issues. Vancouver to Seattle, wow what a trip. Same time zone as LA, SJ, Anaheim. A little over for Colorado, Edmonton, Calgary, Utah. If Vancouver has a bad travel schedule then the Seattle Kraken are doomed. That 15 minutes of air time difference is going to make or a break a player joining a team? St Louis is pretty central, they should have all the high end free agents so they spend less time traveling. Detroit is pretty Central. Nashville, TN borders 7 different states. Chicago in the Middle. Wild in the middle. Those teams don't seem to be bringing in high end talent in their prime anymore than other teams.
Tocchet wanted to keep Miller over EP40, JT is the type of player he prefers. Management (and probably ownership) prioritized EP40 over Miller. How much of that sort of decision-making played into this? Probably lots.
The Canucks’ success last year masked the underlying problems that they had. This year, the success wasn’t there so the problems became much more visible. I wasn’t impressed with how they played in OT at all this season (horrendous) and with the inconsistency (shutting out Florida, then getting blasted by Boston the very next game).
Speaking of mosh pits, I had accidentally started one during an outdoor concert. When the band was playing, I was moving my body to the music and I accidentally bumped into my friend and some other people. Folks started shoving each other and then before I knew it, a full fledged mosh pit opened up in front of the stage. Some members of the band even joined in for a bit. That was an awesome experience.

I think when tocchet said JT miller was family during his LOA, trading him was a betrayal of that sentiment
