I heard they were going to try to get hill with an offer sheet
Over the summer, they need to get a goalie
Two words…
Sam Morin
I like prospect talk.
I see Bonk as being a York type player. Not bad, ok size, seems like a solid second pair defenseman. I'll take that over Zamula any day, get Zamula off this team ASAP please
Zayde "Shorthand" Wisdom
Terrible takes….always shitting on the team…it never ends.
3rd line is good for 2nd round pick idk wtf charlie is yapping about
Aside from a couple of players this organization is loaded with bottom 6 guys and bubble NHL’ers
I could’ve seen morain being like a Bischel without injury’s because we really could you that physical D man sense we don’t have that much anymore
You are two of the most negative people involved with analyzing the flyers
If Bill by his own admission is not an expert on prospects and is relying only on the opinions of others then why is he offering an opinion anyway. I know the PHLY guys have to produce content but this is a waste of time. Use the show to bring on people who are actually informed.
Besides goalies its Bump. Jesus its so obvious hes it. Also every guy u are railing on whats the point of this? There prospects obviously
Bonk was a Jonezy pick. What is Jonezy doing picking a first round pick? Firsts should be automatic.
Why haven't I found this channel sooner. Great show guys. Being from the LV and having season tix to the Phantoms, I like seeing these kids develop.
The team is weakest in the most crucial areas, no goaltending, no legit #1 or #2 center , no dominating offensive or defensive dmen. We have great third and fourth liners and very good first and second line right wingers. We have one good left wing ,Bump.
Bjarnarsson shall never be "Bjarny" – from this day henceforth he shall be known ONLY as "Silent Jay".
I love the double entendre, twisting reference to Jay and Silent Bob but also his actual name. It is BRILLIANT.
Carter Hart was hyped up by all of you guys. He was an OK goalie at BEST.
Torts mishandled Fedotov…..when he got hot and beat some good teams Torts sat him on the bench for 2 weeks.
Bill!! I absolutely love that shirt!!
Huge Bouncing Souls fan! Hell yeah, brother!
Giroux lost in round one yet again. Man that guy is a loser.
Keep wasting assets and capital on goaltending, this time it'll definetly work!
Never bother to fix the rest of the team, just recycle goalies because they're obviously the issue right?!
Feddy plays good and starts to really heat up? Benched or relegated to third string.
Sammy plays good? Over-used and inevitably burns out and injures himself.
I swear this team and its fans never learn. You'd have to be braindead to believe season after season that the goaltending is a problem…
I think Barkey and Luchanko will be home run picks!
The Following are who I think have a chance at being core players for next group who hopefully take Flyers deep into playoffs often:
1. Yegor Zavragin – .917 save % for 19 year old in a professional league.
2. Jett Luchanko – has flashed at both Flyers training camp & AHL playoffs. His skating & IQ on passes are impressive. If he can add scoring goals then he is 2C for next 10 years.
3. Alex Bump – It feels like he was made to play hockey for flyers. Fiesty, well rounded two-way player. Took huge step this year. Flyers badly need more prospects to follow Bump trajectory.
4. Oliver Bonk – I am not as high on Bonk as others are but I think he eventually makes his way onto second/third pairing. Did not play bumper position this year on power play and resulted in much fewer points. Still on elite team that makes it difficult to project him (similar to Barkey).
5. Denver Barkey – his 102 pts (last year) and 82 pts (this year) and team captain can't be ignored. His size is a concern. But his confidence was so high London Knights (which is a machine) that I just can't see him being just another guy at NHL. I won't even try to project him at NHL because he was on such a good team that might inflate all players stats.
6. Carson Bjarnason – clearly improved during regular season. However, his playoffs performances are starting to concern me. He is 0-6 combined for last two years in playoffs. GAA in playoffs was 4.19 (this year) and 7.15 (last year). I put more importance on playoffs results than regular season stats as predictor of NHL success. Still only 19 and has time to make adjustments.
Thats slim
